>updated PJ64 rdb file< (http://members.accesstoledo.com/allnatural/PJ64RDB_v1.4.02.zip)
This will fix it. Unzip it to your PJ64 directory; overwrite the old file.

or, u know, u could just enable the mempak in ur input plugin. not that its really that worth it, since u can't beat the entire game (correct me if I'm wrong, but the last time I heard...)

His issue was not a mempack one, but rather the emu not detecting the eeprom save type (PJ64 has this problem with a few games).

I'm fairly sure Mr Urt is right, things like the binocular zoom or similar are not emulated correctly, so the game isn't really possible to play through once you reach about level 3. And I doubt it's anything fixable by updating the RDB, so just try it for the early fun, wait for another emulator to fully support it, or even play on an N64.

I haven't played to that point yet, but some have suggested that using wireframe mode is a workaround for that problem.
