I dont doubt that shes partially doing this for attention but I also think she
compares her body to body types like Miranda Kerr and feels like she falls short
http://30.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lug15zTdUY1qars9eo1_500.png

the interesting thing is that the reason that girl is hot is not because she's skinny, but because she's got a cute face and large symmetrical breasts.
she would look better if she gained like 7 lbs imo, she's too boney.

many girls for some reason think anorexic-skinny is sexy; its not.
whats sexy is cute symmetrical face + symmetrical boobs + round and firm butt.
guys like curves in the right places.
the downside is women can't really do much about improving their face/breasts w/o plastic surgery. They can improve their butt and legs though by workouts like squats and running.

I don't think I've ever seen a model on the catwalk and thought she looks amazing, they look like goofy big headed skinny women who are tired and hungry. Take Miranda Kerr away from the horrors of the catwalk and she looks gorgeous.

Never head of "Ashampoo" before, but for free I guess it'd be worth a shot.

I never burn anything but ISOs nowadays, which Imgburn does perfectly.

It seems like you have to activate it too. If I get it right, you probably only get to activate it with one of these "free" versions for 48 hours, so if you ever have to reinstall Windows or whatever, it won't activate then?

Anyway, I have no need to burn stuff, but what about ripping stuff? Does this work with ripping ISOs, namely, PlayStation games? ISODisk is minimalistic and got the job done, but it didn't want to rip PlayStation games. I need to get around to ripping the rest of my collection now that I have the space for it (I have for years but never got around to it).toI never burn anything but ISOs nowadays, which Imgburn does perfectly. As does Windows (7), no?

Then strap fireworks to it and go wild.

You get a key that gives you unlimited access to the software without any time limits, if you reinstall windows, use your key they issue you and it will still work.

It's coincidental that you guys mention that, as I'm in the process of getting rid of stuff I don't really need, but I never really had a whole lot to begin with. My mother (and one of my sisters) have that problem though. You get a key that gives you unlimited access to the software without any time limits, if you reinstall windows, use your key they issue you and it will still work.I know there's no "time limits", but I was asking something else. Per the last bit, this doesn't seem to imply that.EXTENDED! We've extended this promotion until 23:59 Sunday. Note you must activate your software before the expiration of this offer! It seems it's as I thought. If you try and install/activate one of these copies any time in the future, it will be worthless.

My brostincts say he's lost his job and some confidence.

Never, not once unless you count buying food when you're out socializing.

Is that strange; that everything you buy is utility based and important?

Kaizen
March 13th, 2012, 00:09
To follow up from yesterdays thoughts, I'm saving my money pretty hard right now, living on bare bones for food and amenities. Being homeless is a real possibility if I fall on my luck and I'm considering buying a holiday property and a rejuvenation property so at least I'll never be homeless.

I'll also be applying to university and planning emigrating in the future, I've been talking with a few workmates about it, getting advice and such. Every path is going to be tough but there's no family or future to hold me in Scotland any more and I need out away from the 16 hours of darkness 6 months a year.

1) Get a cheap mechanics toolset (Walmart - $60 for Stanley brand. I recommend the craftsman sets though, about $90 at kmart or sears)

2) Buy a service manual for your car (~$25/autozone, or $4 for a shady CD off eBay)

3) Get to work!

I just installed Win7 x64 in VirtualBox, with 20 GB allocated, and it's barely using over half of it (11.2 GB), and that's with a 4 GB pagefile. What the heck do you have on it? :p

I love hamsters. I've had 4 of my own during the years but I hated their short life span. :(

You should get a house bunny again. They're great companions and are highly intelligent. I love Jack. And the reason why I got him was to help cope with the difficulties of getting a disease. He's my little boy. He takes care of me. Lol.

And they can live up to 8-10 years. :) You just have to baby proof your house. >.< But they are like little kids. I adore him so much. Oh, and you can also liter train them! :)

Puppies are cute, but kittens are awesome <3 >.>

Dude, Ahielia...

Let's breed cats and dogs together and make cogs! <3

My daughter have always wanted a Hamster, I have to get one for her.you should. They're low maintenance pets and very cute. Just keep in mind of the short life span. But they're great for kids. You just have to be very very fragile with them.

I cannot tell you how many times my friends would come up to me and tell me the horror stories of their hamsters. A few times I've heard of kids getting too scared of them or not knowing their own strength and crush them to death in their hands.

It always makes me emotional to think of any creature dying in that way. :(

1.12GB in that folder... doesn't make a big difference.

I've noticed that the size of the Windows directory grows over time.

True, but the whole install still should only use a small portion of an 80 GB drive. Maybe some of the data stored on it can be moved to another PC and shared over the network?

Probably, but it's too much of a PITA. I have a 320GB USB drive that I believe contains a 2.5" SATA drive... I don't really use it, so I might dissect that and throw it in there... I don't have any 2.5" brackets, so I'll probably just let it sit there.

Nope, but I just put the 320 gig drive in there which should solve the problem once and for all.

Also: My WiFi router has damn good range. I can sit by the creek down the hill from my house (about 500 feet / ~150 meters) and pick up a pretty decent signal. (2 bars). It's peaceful down here.

Also, I'm rather enjoying the beautiful weather we've been having over the last few days. Nice to be able to do some work in the garage with the doors open and no heaters. :) The bad news is that I'm going to have to install a AC in the garage here soon.

In a sense, Headphone amps (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headphone_amplifier) are designed specifically for headphones and are supposed to deliver better sound. My current headphones (very average Plantronics Gamecom 367) aren't that great, but reading about headphones and all the lingo, headphone specific amps have been known to give fantastic results without having to hose around with EQ settings which can stuff up sound.

I know of one place in town that has a couple of generic headphone amps, so I thought I'd try them out to see what the deal is.

Indeed. Though it's not quite as bad with a newer stronger system since you can do other stuff during the encode and barely notice a hit unless the other stuff is also heavy on the CPU but usually the encode then just throttles back a bit and takes longer.

Congratulations Silenus!

Random thought; I am surprised at how true it often is that no matter what, there's always someone else and you're not the only one. In this example, I was browsing the Command & Conquer forums, and came across an apparent coincidental member. There aren't as many female Command & Conquer fans, but I cam across one (the name made it obvious...), and while that's nothing special in itself, I noticed she was also a fan of Nod, like me (again, the name made it obvious), and apparently in Ohio, again, like I am. Not only that, but her deviantART page lists her having the same name (first only; not the whole thing obviously) as me! Talk about a sister.

I just found it a bit coincidental, is all, but more so as an example that there's probably someone else out there like you are than you may first think. Anyone else ever come across someone out of the Blue who continued to line up with you, a few things after another, like that about anything?

@ruantec

Indeed they are and i know it by experience too... luckily enough you get around 1500€ 1 month before you get the baby and after that you get paid around 550€ every month for the first 3 and half years after getting a baby here which helps a lot to buy such stuff. After that you get paid 350€ every 2 months but still helps a lot. I wish that were the case over there...

At least 20 times I noticed that I was going 20 miles under the speed limit.... Stalled my car by accidentally doing a 1-5 up****.... Forgot to turn my headlights back on after getting coffee at a gas station, didn't realize for a good fifteen mintues.

Related forums skipped 2011 too (or more) by the way.
The concept itself kinda turned meaningless. Things like sigs fit best as part of more frequent gratification, like on other forums ('sig of the month' and so), or as part of a permanent event section (where 'awards' and events like live e3 coverage could be partaken into).

Fervor of one does not move pyramids. Suggestions for events/whatever could always be publicly shared in site feedback/OD/bin, to feel the water.

Life can be fun sometimes and a lot of things happen daily. Sometimes we watch something, somewhere and we don't even realize that those things were probably made by someone we know. I'm not allowed to post links or names as is against the rules of my job but today i watched a very well known German TV program about a big company a big machine and the application behind that big machine... the German sender is a very known one and a lot of people from Germany, Austria and Switzerland watch it everyday.

The program shows the big company in a town in Germany that has a very big machine and during the video they show the machine as well as the application they use to manage the machine and other data comming from it... what people don't even know is that the app showed a lot on that video is being developed by no other than your buddy @ruantec and his team :)

quite interesting that so many things happen in this world without people even noticing they are happening or even better... that they were made by people they probably know.

That really depends where you live... In here they're not that bad. Though, I've never really gotten into their bad side.

But seriously, our justice system is a joke... Shoplifters get fines that they don't really have to pay as they can't be turned into imprisonment or anything. Not to mention the prison sentences... Rape and stuff like that is often ruled as mild and they'll get away with a year or two, if they're unlucky. The highest sentence is "life" but it only means 13-15 years, which you can get from murder and economic crimes...

The more I think about it, the more f***ed up it sounds.

Seriously. The sheer amount of cops in Moco is staggering, and they have literally nothing better to do then hide behind bushes waiting to pounce on someone. I was near Ledo's at Montgomery mall the other night, they had 9 police cars there. Yes, nine. What were they there for? Yes you got it, free late night Pizza.

All wheel drive doesn't make a big difference in snowy conditions once you start moving. (it's more about getting you going. Once you start moving the different between AWD and FWD is negligible), but all-wheel traction control does a world of difference.

Phil
March 26th, 2012, 05:35
Well then you are talking about momentum, and no technology can do anything with once an object is in motion, it tends to stay in motion. Especially when there is less resistance (snow.)

I wasn't talking about allwheel drive it self though, more that your car will handle the snow twice as well. Crown Vics are rear wheel drive, no weight over the driven wheels, so they are awful in the snow. Loaded with tons of police gear, they are better, but not by much. If the cops around your area have Impala's instead of Chargers or Crown Vic's, then yes the front wheel drive does surprisingly well in the snow due to the engine wieghing down the nose to provide traction.

And you are completely right about traction control.....but there's no fun in it lol. Actually rear drive cars are awesome for the drifting skills in the snow. Just don't be an idiot and take out a lamppost or something. :p

It's very normal, there's only so much you can say about a subject before you lose interest in discussions as a group. It's happened on a few forums I've frequented.
There's only so many regular posters and the community either starts posting about their lives and socialising for the sake of it or the forum breaks down to a point of closing down.
6 string heaven was such a case, it was a forum where the regulars were all pretty boss on the guitar and we would have group projects, rivalries broke out and ended the posting. We certainly didn't talk about guitars or music theory too much because we all knew our crap inside and out.

You have to think about the future of this place and what's happened in the past. In my experience it was all emulators and hardware then 4chan-esque bin material but that tired out too,
everyone here that regularly posts does so quite a lot of the time like this place is facebook or a hangout. We're in an internet pub.

The ones who are here and want it will, but because the community and atmosphere isn't the same as the old days is hardly an excuse, and to be honest, I don't believe that's all there is to stopping progress (so that is, I'm not blaming any authors here for not doing it solely because of lack of attention, even though I understand how a smaller community means there's less motivation to do something for it). I think there's a variety of issues to the matter.

Personally, I'd love to see things get back to how they were, but most of that is nostalgia calling. In practice, I don't emulate as often. I haven't abandoned the matter, but I have largely moved on to more modern games. plus alot emulators are now on portable devices and ngemu dont have sections for those emulators. To be honest, I think the whole forum (and website, really...) needs "rethought".

For one, a lot of the stickies need cleaned up to be just rules, guidelines, and stuff pertaining to emulation, not the "this is popular with the regulars at the time so stick it" mentality. 99% of those need unstuck. This is what's keeping things stuck in this cycle; the forum went too geared towards a core group and not everyone. It did the opposite of what gaming these days does by ignoring the core group for potential users. You need a balance. Maybe put the general forums back on the bottom again (like old days...).

The ePSXe forum needs to have it's sub-forums removed and all of it's stuff in one now; consolidate it. It's not "active" to need the others, like the ones for reporting problems with games. it's just a user to user forum now; it just needs one. That's just one example. Some other emulators may not warrant their forum, and some that don't have one may warrant one. I'm not as into the emulators so I can't speak for those.

Then there's the issues with the website not being a resource of plug-ins and emulators and such anymore; it's all unintuitive hidden in the forums in threads as attachments last I recall. The setup is so unintuitive.

It's no wonder PCSX2 closed shop and moved. Maybe they were probably going to anyway, but I'm sure the lack of flexibility and all didn't make them think twice. The place is becoming a shell of it's past.

Every forum slowly does this over time; it's natural, but the place hasn't been kept up with. The emulation forums (and website) is unintuitive done and left to rot, and much of the staff seems to do things to revolve around the regulars (pinning their active threads to keep them happy, being too lax at times because of how long one's been here, etc.).

There's a whole lot more to it, but in short, I don't think the site has been "kept up", so to speak. There's nothing you can do about people moving on, so don't try and cling to them, but the site hasn't tried to get anywhere either. It just sits there revolving around a small and aging core.

I'm not as into the emulators so I can't speak for those.

problem is, the site was acquired by CrowdGather, who just happen to lean on the existing community. no significant features were added to ngemu.com in years, just an immensely simplified front page.

NGEmu became big because it focused on popular forms of emulation. It doesn't anymore. Emulation scene on pc smaller or not, its not even tried anymore.

Another forum I frequent is MSX.org. The community has always been smaller than ngemu, and admittedly currently it suffers from a dip of sorts, but its more likely that it will survive and/or live up in the long run because the site's focus is clear and staff & community are dedicated.

NGEmu however, as a site has lost its core functionality. It's now "just" a random game / anime discussion board, with a slowly decreasing number of members.

I have the most disgusting feet you can imagine.

-I have pinch skin up the sides from tight shoes, it's like a hard and thick callus ridge of skin that's discoloured.
-My feet are covered in blisters at the various stages of healing.
-One spot has 5, count them, 5 blisters merged into each other and ripped up.
- My toenails are black and red from accumulated blood prising the nail apart from the skin, they look like tortoise shell (the material)
-My feet and toes are swollen with fluid.
-I have a few welts where chunks of skin have been ripped out.
-I think I now have (mild) athletes foot too. Already treating it with mad skills.

It doesn't hurt to run with them though, the running is going fantastic actually!
I took pictures of my feet if that doesn't sound weird because it's kind of an achievement to work through such massive intensity and have the battle scars to prove it.

Those black toenails don't sound good... Have you been to a doctor, don't they usually puncture those to drain the blood. You don't want them to go necrosis...

You're 16, nearly finished the end of school and should be thinking hard about the path of your future.
Let me give you a proper life lesson, son. As someone who never gave credit to his life at that age.

Life doesn't go faster when you get older, you automate more of your tasks into a routine. By constantly presenting new seriously difficult challenges, you get the slow time back.
Finding time to plan your life is strange, when you have lots of free time you'll seldom do it but when you're busy doing something you hate, your mind will be working hard to figure it out.

The good times and big achievements are never big deals. Imagine losing 300 pounds of weight and how long it must take, time goes by so slow that you see no immediate improvements at any point on the journey. There's no gratification in getting results with the tougher goals in life, it's the progress that yields the fun, the journeys and challenges. Yesterday I reached a clean 20nps alternate picking, it's a holy grail number on the guitar but it brings no joy, my sweeping is now close to jason becker's level of accuracy and speed when he was 19, again little joy.

I would blow the mind of the 16 year old version of me with what I can do now, totally surpass every dream he had.
It meant everything in the world to me to become like I am now, the real deal, a proper ranking player but the payoff is nothing.
Not even the biggest dream in the world brought happiness at the end.

That one time I messed up big time playing a small hotel bar by having my stuff turned off in front of Chris Scott (a friend and rival that I majorly respected) made me happy.
The first time I performed in front of my advanced music class and played very badly, so badly the teacher swore calling my playing the s word, the only time I heard her swear makes me happy (after about 3 years of 'u mad bro').
The first time I played in rehearsal with my second band ice 9 and heard my drummer talking about me behind my back in an expression of amazement, makes me happy.

I guess what I'm saying is that trains move on rails and they don't move past stations. Make sure you don't take many pit stops in life, keep the goals rolling and do stupid stuff.

Not a single thing?
Not one single thing?

Is it perhaps that you have nothing to regret important enough to last time or that you undervalue the mistakes you make.

I regret quitting a job on my first day twice over, I regret flunking uni because I was too scared to try and fit in, I regret not telling my dad to go **** himself when he said mum didn't need to go to hospital when I seen signs of paraneo-plastic cerebral degeneration, I regret not flooring my brother when he imposed that I should back off a certain conversation, I regret picking up girls at a works night out causing jealousy from a girl who lied to have me fired, I regret so much that I could pump another thousand words into this post and everything I regret is properly important stuff. Live more :p

hey, thanks. :) i liked the saying a lot and i definately agree with you on your whole statement. Its about time i be mature about my business and stop being so ******* lazy! ive got exactly two weeks to clean up my act before next term.

so im definately certain with all that, i try my best to teach myself programming at home, and compose my own piano pieces. (unbelievably difficult)

I just learned that in Finland it seems that giving a knife as a gift means you're wishing for the wellbeing of the person you're giving it to, as it helps the person with crafts, work and also serves as a sidearm. This makes it funny to think that in some cultures giving a weapon as a gift means you want him to commit suicide, or at least that's what I've heard.

Craftsman hand tools are made in China now? It's official... America doesn't make anything but babies, though with China's overpopulation problems they may start just selling us Chinese babies, negating the need to make our own.

It seems kind of stupid to buy Craftsman tools if they're made in China. You can buy tools from Harbor Freight for 1/4th of the cost - also made in china, and get the same lifetime warranty on most things. If I'm gonna buy cheap chinese crap, it should be priced at the level you expect for cheap chinese crap, not Craftsman prices.

Craftsman hand tools was the last thing I could buy that still was made in America.

WTF Sears, WTF.That reminds me of some country song I heard my mother listening to; some patriotic song about a guy who'd buy American like WD-40 and a Craftsman wrench, and fix what he could. I guess the Craftsman part isn't true anymore. We're such a cheap and throwaway country (the whole world is more or less, not just us). When things break, throw it away; don't fix it, right? When there's something just a bit better that you don't need, throw away your perfect one, right?

Corporate America sold the rest of us out long ago. There's a reason I want to see the country fall. I love the country and the ideals it once stood for, but America itself is all but literally now a corporation itself, and the government doesn't serve us or the whole like it should, but instead it serves itself and the few; the corporate world (itself), and what America has become is what I want to see fall and burn. Wishing to see a country fall doesn't mean you have ill intent towards it as a whole; to the contrary, what this place now is ruined what America once was. I want America to flourish with those ideals, so the corruption in it now needs burned and purged from it.

I saw some nice (maybe it was Amish made?) furniture at a small section in the mall a few weekends back. I guess they have a store a mile or a few away and I took one of the cards (it was a gated off and closed corner section) and want to head there sometime and look. They had a nice desk, but I didn't see a price on it. It's both smaller and better (real wood, not that particle board stuff like what I have now). Last time I needed a desk, I still had my big CRT, which made it hard to find stuff that wasn't too big and overpriced for what I wanted. While this will be more expensive than cheap stuff, it's much nicer and will last as a result, and it's maybe a local-made thing, which yes, I'd feel better about buying/supporting.

I'm never afraid to be honest :P, i was referring to all of it, how America is going down hill due to corporate elitist who hunger for absolute power and control, how a new form of management in which the majority of those having the reigns needed to be weeded out is needed. And how how a country (not just America i'm thinking for instance of mine as well) should support and encourage more development on its own market rather then keep on milking over the chinese products.

Because for the most part, it's much cheaper (both in time and money) to simply buy a new one instead of fixing the old one.Yeah, that is often true, although that's not always the case, and even if it is, we're much more a throwaway society these days anyway. New tech (TVs, PC related, phones, etc.) stuff comes out; jump to it even if you don't really need it. A new car comes out; gotta have it even though the current one works and may not be that old. Think of your grandparents; they're probably the type who, if something broke, they fixed it. These days, we hardly seem to attempt that as much and just throw it away and replace it. Part of the reason is because, yes, things are cheaper (in cost and in quality) which is precisely what I was getting at, and then the ones who can more generally afford the better stuff ironically generally (and perhaps more so) tend to be the types to just ditch it for the next new thing as well, so the same thing happens there too. I'm not saying people can't get what they want or that nobody re-purposes stuff at all (either directly or indirectly; selling stuff usually [but not always] re-purposes it, although hoarding it does not), and there is a good side to it all, but as a result of how things are, I think the bad side of it is that we're much more a throwaway and wasteful society these days; not very efficient per se.I'm never afraid to be honest :P, i was referring to all of it, how America is going down hill due to corporate elitist who hunger for absolute power and control, how a new form of management in which the majority of those having the reigns needed to be weeded out is needed. And how how a country (not just America i'm thinking for instance of mine as well) should support and encourage more development on its own market rather then keep on milking over the chinese products. What I meant was the part about where you said something about agreeing with me for once. Usually when one says that, it's because they hardly agree. I did not know that was the case with us.

No, you misunderstood me there completely, what i said was that i didn't expect it for us to be quite in such an unison about those points, since the way you expressed it was exactly just the way i felt about it as well :P.

Have fun :) Where do you work?

Alcon Ireland (now part of Novartis), making intraocular lenses. I mainly play chemist and formulate a goo that later becomes the lens. Not a bad job and much better paid on nights than days :D

Anyways, the first night went well, though a little boring without my usuals around. I slept 3.5 hours now only after work and don't feel tired at all. Will have a little nap before work too later on.

Anyways... Preparing my MVVM(Model View View Model) coding pattern presentation for tomorrow. Lets hope my team like it :)

The older I get, the more realised (and saddened) I become, as I see a lot of good (looks and personality) women and men having children at a young age (early twenties), and the chances are overwhelmingly large that they will split before the child becomes an adult.

It makes me sad, because with each passing year, the chances of me finding a partner who isn't already a parent, is greatly diminished.
As it stands now, I do not want that. Largely because I don't want to raise a different person's offspring (that isn't mine).

A warning to those considering or having already purchased a True Blue clone: we have previously implemented special anti-clone technology in the True Blue firmware which accurately detects clones and when such a clone is detected, will activate one of several effects at random intervals, such as erasing the internal PS3 HDD. The recent JBKing 2.5 software update is especially affected by these measures; anyone using this clone will be subject to data loss as a result of random HDD erasure as well as other effects. Other anti-clone measures are now being developed and will be deployed shortly.

Clones of True Blue will be blocked and future EBOOT's will not function with such devices. It is therefore important that users, in the interests of enjoyment and to avoid wasting money on trivially detectable clones, should purchase only original True Blue devices.

This world is definitely f***ed up.... in the past things were so great and nowdays is just a mess after the other where even piraters believe they are a legal company or something and piraters pirate piraters to pirate there pirated stuff(the "Yo dawg" meme comes to mind)..... i mean do we still have morals????

Where is the time when we enjoyed our favorite games in our PC or consoles and places like this were golden with a big interest for Emulation and coding in general?????

so sad.......

In history books and forever retold in legends.

The way things are going its probably not going to cut into the history books, i'm guessing they are going to become legends.

So maybe you can make an emotional connection with the kid, don't just write off a potential partner for that...

But I understand how you feel though. If I get married, I wouldn't want my husband to have any kids ideally...but I wouldn't turn him down just because of that.

How about the other 'extreme'? Adopting, namely.

That I could actually truly consider.
But only if the child's parents weren't involved.

I know how much it sucks for a child to have several "sets" of parents to relate to, I don't want that for mine.

2:39am here. I'm used to running on 3-4 hours of sleep. I've always been like that.

Once a week I'll sleep for like 12 hours and in my mind that somehow makes up for it. :p

Oh my goodness! I knew Criagslist and the like could have people contacting you out of the Blue for "other" things, but...Is your goods still available? Umm...this might be strange but you sound hot in your posting. Do you want to get drinks sometimes? I promise I'm not a weirdo, just feeling alone. If you're interested, meet me on my exclusive dating profile (it's like facebook for grownups), there's no cost to sign up! My photos and my phone # are all on there so get in touch with me. There are too many phonies on here so if you're legit text me and maybe we can meet to become friends and maybe more? It's up to you! Okay, I won't bother you again! You'll be astonished to find out what I look like! :)

-Sent via my iPadNote that this wasn't in like a personal or relationship section or anything; just some of my stuff is up for sale since I'm moving soon and really don't need some of it anyway and this is what I got?

This was the second e-mail sent. The first was just asking something; nothing to make me suspect much. How can someone "sound hot in their posting"? Really? Oh well.

It was in a spam folder, but a lot of e-mails from Craigslist seem to end up there.

I guess it was a break from the few "get wedding dresses at discount prices" or whatever.who's had a lucid dream? i reckon i've had a few by now.I feel like my life is a lucid dream.
