Kinda funny how most people complaining about Rapidshare/Megaupload/othersimilarsites can't be arsed paying for a premium account.

I paid for a 12 month account last November for the low price of 400 NOK (about 50€ -takes me roughly 3 and a half hour to make that).
And no, it's not expensive. It's like saying the monthly subscription of (as an example) World of Warcraft is a lot. Only cheap ******s and children say that.
Since then I've been able to download stuff at max speed, and I've always found the stuff I needed, bar some really old and/or weird stuff.

I also used to be a RS hater, but then I tried a premium account and my (online) life changed.
No more torrents for me, unless I can't find the stuff I need anywhere else.

I kept a few pictures of some ex-girlfriends that I really ended up hating. I kept them not for the purpose of being able to remember them and the good times we had, but for the purpose of Photoshopping their heads onto porn pics where the girl is with multilple partners doing multiple acts simultaneously and then sending it to their parents for doing me so wrong.

Photoshop is my weapon of choice.

The only things I keep now are an invitation to an event where I got my first girlfriend and a list I had written weighing up the pros and cons of the one I cared about most.

The list reminds me how much of a boy I once was, it's filled with negative reasons stemming from childish insecurities and neediness.

RapidShare has lowered the amount of money they give to uploaders drastically, which is pissing them off. Hot sites nowadays are MegaUpload, FileServe and Hotfile <-- they pay pretty well hence the amount of content on these sites is growing very quickly (especially FileServe). I think it's only a matter of time before they overtake RS (HF and MU may already have in certain aspects).

Once you become a Platinum member, HotFile pays you $15 for every 1000 downloads of each of your files. Other sites also have various payment plans. I know people who earn a good $400 a month just by uploading stuff onto these file hosting sites. Of course not everyone can start doing it, you need to rent a fast private server so that you can upload any new content onto the scene literally within minutes of its release, then publish the links on a crap load of warez forums and profit! No need to do all of this stuff manually though, there's programs that will queue these tasks i.e. download, archive, upload, publish links and execute them automatically. All you need to do is point it towards a torrent link initially.

P.S. With RS, you can use the points you generate and sell them for rates much lower then the standard RS rates, that's how uploading on RS translates to cash, though it is a longer detour and definitely pissing off uploaders.

Why is it that my botteneck for Assassin's Creed is my cpu whos cores are clocked at 2.9 ghz.

Private education is usually based on a religion (at least here in the US :p); for those schools sub par would be an understatement. I couldn't imagine a proper science lesson at any religious private educational institution.

Over there maybe. Over here private school = one which actually has classrooms inhabited by students rather then dust bunnies and pigeons. Some of the government universities and high schools are quite good but by and large primary and secondary schools are in a dilapidated condition.

Lol, I love who crazy diagnostics are in cars nowadays.

This Caviler I was working on - it had both a CHECK ENGINE and SERVICE light. The SERVICE light was on. I checked everything - no OBDII error codes, no noticeable issues.... it wasn't until after five hours of checking different things did it get dark and I finally realized the problem - the wires to a headlight were loose and was preventing the daytime running lamps from kicking on, thus tripping the service light.

Wow, that was a lot of work for nothing.

Grr... Diagnostics need to be more specific. I think every car should include a little LCD screen that gives more detail than "CHECK ENGINE" or "SERVICE".

It's been a while since I played any new game properly, and for some reason I don't really feel like playing any new title either. Recently I've just been playing CoD online and even that I'm noticing is becoming more and more uninteresting by the day; I've reduced playtime substantially as well (see Xfire profile).

Nope. In fact I'm quite clueless about all the new titles that have come onto the scene in the past few months. Currently I have Fuel, Splinter Cell Conviction, STALKER Call of Pripyat and BFBC 2 all installed, but don't feel like playing any of them. Thinking of giving Mafia 2 a try though.

I'm also growing a bit bored of hardware now. A year ago when a new CPU/GPU came out I was like "ZOMG! Soo much powah! :drool:" but now it's more like "*yawn* who cares about a few extra polygons?".

Salmon, Bass, Trout are all very delicious if cooked correctly.
Recently I found a species called Pangasius (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pangasius).

Make a marinade of garlic, lemon, salt and pepper and let the fish rest in it for 10 minutes.
Next, put some cooking oil on it, and fry it in a pan for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
Serve with mashed potatoes, broccoli and carrots.
Delicious!

Of course the only thing I don't like is the prerendered scenes in the PC version. One minute the graphics are awesome; the next, they look like ass. This seems to be a recurring theme in PC games with FMVs, unfortunately.

Yeah but for aiming, Mouse>controller. Its a trade-off, i prefer killing faster over dodging QTE's more.

Just means you need more skill to beat it with a controller ;)

You only need it for a short amount of time to buffer up an incredible amount of upload. My 1 month subscription runs out in 4 days but I think I'll break the 2TB mark by then. Also buffered 600GB on some other trackers.

Just set up one of the old Dells I have laying around (Optiplex GX270) as a "secure" computer (antivirus installed, all legal software, etc etc) for budgeting, online shopping, online bank access, etc. And it works well for the purpose, except for the fact that the GPU will only output at 1280x1024 max and my monitor is 1920x1080 native. :(

I wish there was a easy way to force the crap Intel graphics to 1920x1080. I tried messing around with powerstrip with no success.
