The new 2010 Sony Bravia lineup has been out for a while, first impression of the tvs is the image quality is worse compared to last years models. They removed the image blur, so standard def tv looks chunky and pixelated as compared to last years models which had blur to it to cover up the pixelation. Will have to see if its possible to soften the image anywhere in the settings.

They are on a nice swivel stand though and sony has taken a lesson from Samsung and improved on their tv bezel which sucked last year.

I've been feeling majorly energized recently.

I attribute it to cutting 90% of the sugars I used to eat from my diet coupled with a banking sleep method of 13 hours sleep a day.

Since 2009 I maintain a 6-hours sleep schedule. I go to bed at midnight and wake up 6 a.m.

Has that got anything to do with the movie "the Condemned" at all? because that movie was a near complete ripoff of the manga and anime Battle Royale. same concept in both. a bunch of people are placed on an island to fight it out and the last one standing goes free with a lot of cash. only differences are that the bombs to prevent their escape are on their ankles instead of their necks in the condemned, and that instead of a bunch of schoolchildren bout 17-18 years of age, they are all hardened criminals from death row in different countries. besides those minor details EVERYTHING is the same.

To dream about leaving home at 10 years old and begin an adventure and training strong creatures seemed absolutely amazing. I wished that it was true. That I could actually leave home at such a young age and become a pokemon master. :p

Then the games came out. I got Pokemon Yellow for my Original Gameboy handheld system. To get that game was the closest thing for me to live in that pokemon world.

Not only was it so much fun, played out like the tv show, it was challenging and not too easy. After a few years, I stopped watching Pokemon. However, I kept buying each generation of video games of the series. The dream to live on your own at age 10 without a parental guardian and taming wild creatures is now viewed as very unrealistic and only a child's dream. Which it was.

The reason why I continue to play each new generation of video games is because I love the nostalgia of it. I still enjoy how it is sometimes challenging. Sometimes you have to really plan a strategy out for some of the battles.

It doesn't hurt that the pokemon are absolutely adorable! Well, most of them...

Though I think the 3rd and 4th generations have something "lacking", I will still give them a chance and play them. But Pokemon Yellow and Pokemon Silver are by far my favorite!

I also enjoy drawing fanart of pokemon and also make pokemon dolls. I still enjoy the fantasy that goes along with them. Once again, it doesn't hurt that they are really cute as well. :p

So my reason for enjoying the pokemon games? The nostalgia and the pokemon battles. You get an option of building a team and making them absolutely great and can make them virtually indestructible if you train them enough and give them a nice set of moods.

Well Uharc iirc correctly compressed all the WAVE files to low-bitrate MP3 files, hence the small size of some of the GTA releases.

Some files just compress more easily because their raw data is easily compressed. Things like text files and padding data compress very well. Also, some compressors are programmed with special algorithms that use a more efficient compression scheme when certain files are detected.

I don't get the prices of headphones...it seems like as long as you can say they have epic sound quality you can charge epic prices even if they fail everywhere else...

So on Monday I was out shopping for a new set of headphones. I went into one shop saw some beautiful robust comfy Sennheiser HD201s for about $50, then I checked their other headphones and saw a set which looked like it should cost about $20...and it cost $90 it was small, it was made of cheap plastic and looked gaudy...right next to it they had another set that was slightly bigger so more robust and more comfy but it's cups seemed to be made of latex and they looked even gaudier than the previous set...looked like it should cost about $30-$40...it cost $120...

Here you've got the big, robust and comfy Sennheiser HD201 $50 and right next to it these two horribly cheap looking crappy gaudy and uncomfortable sets for $90 and $120....wtf?

Right so I go to another store cuz I was not quite looking to spen $50. In the next store I see a USB headset that's smallish and kinda resembles a set I once bought for $10 so I was expect a price around there perhaps a slight premium for the USB connectivity so max $20....it cost $60...if I compare them to my Cyber Snipa Sonar 5.1 USB headset which cost me $80 (and was totally worth it) it seems my Sonar was underpriced and should have cost me closer to $300...that's how much better they looked than that $60 set.
So I go check the headphone isle and I come across a Philips SPH2700 going for $25, big cups, looks robust, looks comfy looked like my best bet so far but I wanted to check the rest first. A little further down the isle I find a set of Sony DJ headphones, great name but they also looked on the small side with small cups, they type of thing that might deliver good sound quality but hurt my head after wearing it for longer than half an hour, so given how they looked comfort wise I thought they would have a price tag of about $25 as well...they cost $50...

Big comfy robust Philips SPH2700 for $25 VS two rather uncomfortable and cheap looking sets (one from a no-name company the other from a reputable one) for $60 and $50.....seriously wtf?




So I left the Mall happy with my new Philips SPH2700 and having apparently learned the lesson that when it comes to headphones you don't get what you pay for...you either get a hell of a lot more for less...or a hell of a lot less for a hell of a lot more....

Its the first time I'm playing an rpg like this. I only like the combat and dressing up part of the game. more like sims. Same thing is on tekken6 too. But tekken6 has more of the fighting part and less of the stupid conversations added to make the game long a boring.
