Because women want someone that they can be equal with on the maturity scale. Women enjoy men that are older because they can also be viewed as having more potential than a man their age. Meaning that they have more experience. It's a security factor of wanting the man to provide them with things emotionally. That's how girls look at it. Girls usually want a husband that can provide financially, emotionally, protection, etc.

However, there's always the exception to the rules. Some relationships with a couple being the same age is better than a woman dating an older man because both of the people are on the same maturity level. Also some younger men that are with older women have the same maturity level that way.

I can say in all honesty that I am not fully mature yet. Do I think I'm more mature and down to earth than most girls my age where I live? Yes. Most girls here just want to get married right out of high school. I have a life and a plan that I'm working on. Besides, I see these girls getting married and they have the maturity as a 12 year old. I know that I'm not mature enough to get married. I know marriage takes a lot of work and I want to be prepared to give into the relationship to the fullest.

It's true. We do. Whether we are independent or not in this era of pro feminism, and some women will not admit it, we all wish for a man that can be secure emotionally, physically, and financially even if we as women are already secure in those areas. A man that can hold a job, hold you when you cry, say the right things at the right time...those are the things women look for in a mate. It's been imprinted in our minds since the dawn of time. It means they are a potential mate. Even though we want to be independent, there are times when we just need to have that security to know that if things get tough, we can count on our mate.

Ahelia, honey, you need to be yourself. Do not be the person you think a woman is looking for. If you are wearing a mask with a woman that you can't be real with and end up marrying her, are you going to be able to hold that mask throughout that relationship? Or you can all of a sudden switch your personality and what if it doesn't settle well with your partner?

The best thing you can do is be yourself! The only advice I would give in this situation, is just to make yourself improve in other areas. :) But hun, you need to be happy. I waited for almost 2 months and tried many sources but all required me to travel long distances and I'm very busy because of my internship so I could not go anywhere.
