Is the Playstation Network down for anyone else right now? For some reason I can't log in. I keep entering my email and password each time (this is me trying to log into my PS3 today obviously).

Has anyone else had this trouble today?

Well the PSN site has been incredibly slow but I did log in correctly so I don't know what's going on. I'll try it out later then. I'm playing Uncharted right at the moment and everything else about the PS3 seems to be working greatly. I'll try logging in after I'm through playing this game.

I went to the PSN website on my laptop and put in the same email and password and was able to log in without trouble.

However, whenever I try to log in while I'm on my PS3 it says: "An error has occurred. You have been signed out of PlaystationNetwork. (8001050F)"

I've never encountered this problem before. Not only that, but it says that the date is 12/31 and 4:51 PM. They aren't right at all. When I saved my Uncharted game the date that showed up when it was saved at was the year 1999.

Should I just post a thread in the games discussion?

Correct the date and time in the Sony dashboard and try signing in again.

its not uncommon for internet services to fail when the wrong date is set on the device.

apparently the original PS3's are having some issues atm.....

Update: Sony has acknowledged the issue, and is "looking into it. (http://twitter.com/SonyPlayStation/status/9801870518)" We've yet to hear an official word on what the problem is, though it seems to be a bit larger than just the PSN. Owners of PS3 Phats are reporting that the date (http://neogaf.net/forum/showthread.php?t=388872) on their console has reverted to 12/31/1999, which is likely the cause of the data-corrupting errors. Some Phat-owners have reported receiving the errors while their console was offline, which is upsetting, to say the least. We'll let you know when we hear official word from Sony.

SHUT IT OFF!, and stop trying Bree, you might corrupt something.

Still did not work. It says I am connected to the internet though (I was all this time but unable to log in)...

I changed the date and time out of annoyance. I turned off the station at 7:08 pm. When I turned it back on, the time read 7:08 pm when it was 7:28 pm in reality. I'm so frustrated with this thing.

I haven't done anything. Just kept trying to log in. Are they trying to find a fix for this?

From what I have been reading Bree your trophy collection my be corrupted as well, also some downloaded games seem to reverting back to "demo" status

Also it doesn't affect every game and COD: MW2 is one that is known to still run fine Xblade

I don't even know how to get trophies. I don't even care about them. I think I only got one trophy tonight while playing Uncharted but I'm not sure...

Anyone know when this will be fixed? This seriously makes me sad. Is this "thing" acting like a virus? :(

Sony are working on a fix, although there is no indication of when a fix will be available. Probably in a day or two I suppose. Until then I guess avoid using the PSN.

I couldn't sign in at first. But I didn't think much of it. I thought a simple turn off, wait a few minutes and then I'll try it again. I did that, then tried to sign in. I then proceeded to play Uncharted for about 2 hours. When I tried to sign in again, I knew something was definitely wrong and finally stopped playing and turned off the PS3.

I'm just really getting into the Uncharted and wanted to bring it to my friend's house so we could play it together for a whole day. I was planning on doing that on Tuesday. It's just disappointing. Especially since I only set my PS3 back up 5 hours or so ago (I got it out of it's case because I hadn't been able to unpack it since I brought it from my friend's house this past Thursday).

No I wasn't exactly, but its nice to hear you got around to getting it and am glad to hear you like it too ;)

I was talking more generally as lots of people in my "real world" have been asking for my advice on consoles/pc's and my recommendations always go ignored and then they wonder why things go to crap for them.

One good example is there was a lady that wanted a console for her 6 year old.
I had through babysitting said child discovered they struggled using a "Dual Shock" controller but the same child found the Wii instantly playable and fun!

The mother after I had made these discoveries asked me what she should buy her child and after I had advised that Wii was the better option while said child is learning to play games went out and bought a PS2 and could not understand why it never gets played due to the child getting frustrated with getting used to a stick and buttons!

She also can't seem to understand that Bratz games are not of a very high standard in quality and if she wants good games for her kid to enjoy that a Wii would have been the FAR better option.

Her rational for the PS2 purchase was that it has cheaper games.

I just don't see how that is a good reason when its going unused anyway due to the child not being able to work out the controls and the mother (who is a fitness freak thats gained a bit of weight of late) could have gotten Wiifit and got herself back into shape a bit too

This same person sold her SD digital TV box after some tool at EB told her it will be rendered useless soon due to turning off the old analogue signal soon and that she would have to buy a HD version to continue watching TV then wondered why she just lost half her tv stations (We have quite a few new Digital only stations in Aus) so she sold it "while it was still worth something"

it varies here, depending the ethnicity. One in particular gets fat pretty fast after marriage, because the value they uphold, that a slim wife means the husband doesn't provide enough food for the family.
But most of the women aren't like that though. Again, depends on the custom, and the individuals

Probably because you are just unlucky lol. Usually there's a ton of women out there that are absolutely gorgeous AND single. The thing is, most men are too nervous to approach them and see how great they are and just assume that the woman has a man in tow.

dunno what you're talking about, most woman in their mid to late twenties are super conscious about their weight and how they look, and they are really careful about what they eat.. unless, like someone mentioned, they are married, then they started not caring anymore and start to eat ALOT.. it's like all their hunger post marriage just gush out of them..

anyway, lower your expectations a little.. you never know, maybe someone who looks average is actually your one true love.. you'll never know unless you open your heart..

I never assume, but I'm never surprised. The only assumption is that if they're TOO hot (and they appear to know it), they're probably "single" because they rather have a bunch of guys, if you know what I mean...

Several months later they have ended up in the same university class they have been enrolled in. My friend introduced herself and became friends with this guy. on top of not controlling their hands, hardly many do with their eyes.

Funny stories can happen though as you said its hard to be done, and not everyone can do that for the obvious reason that most of them are under a nervous circumstance which lead them to experience such bad situations ... Now that I think about it, I had some experience with women, and to tell I lost my nervousness mood, much to describe it as a wise-experience.

Yeah, although if we'd left him to his own he'd never step out of the house, but I'd encourage him to get some fresh air and spend most of the day outside.
