Note: There is no problem with a person dating a person younger then them, unless the older person happens to have plans of taking advantage of the age difference.
Second Note: Its not pedo when they hit 13 (though i wouldn't go there.....)
Third Note: 85% of the world still maintains a averaged AoC of 13.7 Years of age.
Only western countries have decided that people under 16 don't have the rights to make decisions about their own bodies. And only western countries continue to have soaring under AoC pregnancy rates regardless of this fact.

What's so special about Valentine's Day anyway?
Not like people need a special day of the year to be romantic...
Exactly. A lot of people treat it as a way to spend money and get gifts. I feel it's kind of stupid, actually. A couple should celebrate their love every day in the little things: sending sweet texts, cuddling, talking about their day, soft and small kisses, etc. For Valentine's day, I treat it like another day.
However, if they offered me something nice and if I loved the person, then I would accept it. But I don't want anyone to go overboard.
Honestly, all I would like for Vday is to have a homemade candlelight dinner while sitting on the floor. I like to exchange homemade gifts too. I think they are fun and have more meaning.
Just another day that women expect to get gifts...
Yeah, a lot of women do. But you've got to understand that not all women are like that (i'm not saying you don't understand that, I just mean men in general). You don't have to give us anything expensive. Most of us wouldn't mind a single rose and a nice romantic letter that their boyfriends or husbands hand write for them. That goes a long way. I would rather have that and spending time with just the two of us instead of going to some crowded restaurant, have poor service (on a busy night like vday, restaurants will CRAM people wherever they can so they can get more money. You also will not be allowed to relax. Take an hour and then the servers will try to drop the hint for you to leave), and have a lover give me some piece of jewelry that he didn't put much thought in.
I hope that makes sense.

Isn't Australia mainly a desert and most of the land not populated?
snickothemule
February 11th, 2010, 03:52
middle is mostly desert/scrub with a big rock but there are populations where the mines are. And hot. Very very hot. But wherever there is water flowing there is generally some population around it.
East coast is pretty green and very populated, Coffs Harbour area has plenty of forestry but once you get over the mountain range things go a bit dead.
Squall-Leonhart
February 11th, 2010, 03:53
Whoever told you that is a liar.
Central Australia consists of Red Sand below a few layers of white sand, which is actually mineral rich and nutrionally rich for a vast range of applications in farming, its the lack of water out there that earns it the incorrect title of Desert.
The other area's range from Bushland, to Tropical rain forests on the Pacific borders.
Real deserts are mostly white sand which are devoid of the minerals needed for agriculture.
snickothemule
February 11th, 2010, 03:55
Yeah, whenever there is a big rain you can expect greenery to pop up quickly amongst the bush. Should be interesting after seeing Ularoo gushing water recently during the big storm.

You really missed something if you never saw the 90s Batman cartoon, it had Mark Hamil voice-acting for the Joker.
By the way please don't base your opinions on the movies...cuz Spiderman is far too emo in them...
Batman's edge has never been moodiness or anything like that, it's his smarts, it's why he's a Super Hero yet he has no super powers.

Get a four-wheel drive vehicle with good snow tires. My STi has no trouble with snow.
While we're on that topic, isn't the STi 90FWD/10RWD, and it gives more power to the real wheels when it detects traction loss? Because I can feel the rear wheels gain more power when I lose traction.
Thinking of the snow, I had a friend that decided a good way to get the snow off his window was to pour hot water on it. BAD IDEA! CRRRAACCCKKKK. Sudden changes in temperature = not good for glass.

Oh man...I already have such a hard time sleeping, but Jack hasn't made it any better at all. >.<
Has anyone had a rabbit?
What he does is in the middle of the night when he is put in his cage to sleep (I usually have him out of the cage all day except if I'm really sick and cannot keep an eye on him or when I go to bed later that night), is he grabs the bars of his cage with his teeth and pulls back on them violently, causing his whole cage to rattle very very loudly.
Does anyone have an idea on how I can make him stop this? I usually yell at him and clap my hands loudly (I do this when he is outside of his cage and about to do something bad. He immediately stops) but he does not listen. Since I have my pill bottles right next to my bed side table, I hurl them at the cage really strongly, scaring him and making him stop for a moment or two. Sometimes he backs away, seeing how I'm mad and goes back to sleep. But most of the time, just keeps on doing what he's doing.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to make him stop doing this? :( If needed, I could post a picture of his cage.

Irukapooka
February 11th, 2010, 19:11
Some of the people claim that it is because the rabbit needs something to chew on...
That is not Jack's case. I have given him wooden blocks that he likes to chew on and he likes to eat them because whenever he does, a little bell rings and he likes the noise. He also has a little salt block that's a flavor of a carrot that he likes to lick. Then he also has cardboard rolls he likes to chew on and drag all around his cage.
I think he just wants out. I honestly do keep him out with me from the time I wake up and until the time I go to bed. I try to keep him out with me all the time so problems like this would not happen.
I'm wondering if I should start wrapping rags around the area?
EDIT: MEANIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p

I have on one side awhile ago. Reason being was because he would urinate on one side of the cage and it would go everywhere. So I took a really old towel and covered the cage that way on that side so it wouldn't go everywhere on my plush animals that I collect. I don't think he liked it so he went to urinate on the other side of the cage but he had better aim there lol.
Why would you cover a cage for a bird though? I never understood why you would do that when it's night and the lights are out in your bedroom.

Birds are easily startled when they are sleeping. When startled, they will attempt to fly away from the perceived danger only to crash into the cage bars.
This reminds me of a story for some reason...
I used to have a bird when I was younger. One night I remember hearing him squawking loudly and then silence. I got up to go check but my mother told me to just go back to bed. She appeared to be crying. When I woke up the following morning, apparently the bird flew away. We had chicken that night.

How horrible...:( My grandmother had that happen when she was a little girl and had a pet lamb. One day she could not find her pet lamb or her step father. That night, they had lamb. I think it's really traumatic when parents take away animals like that with the intent to eat them. If a child looks at them like a pet and they are not meant to be that way, the parents should tell the child what the animal is for and that it is not a pet whatsoever. Some people just have a hard time doing that I guess...

I lost 300 bucks yesterday when I was going to renew my registration at uni. I don't how/where I lost it, it never happened before and there was more money stored with those 300 bucks. When I opened my wallet to pay the uni the 300 bucks had dissapered from my wallet, but the rest of the money was still there. They were placed in the exactly same place.
I don'tknow what happened, I opened the wallet 2 times: to pay the bus and to get the access card of the uni. I'd have seen it if the money slipped from the wallet, also if that happened all the money would fall from it since they were bended together, not just the 300 bucks. And I checked if it was in the wallet before leaving my appartment. It was there.
I have no idea of what happened, but I couldn't have lost that money. =/

Silence of the Bird
Hannibal Lecter: What became of your bird, Cla--masta.g.86?
masta.g.86: She killed it.
Hannibal Lecter: You still wake up sometimes, don't you? You wake up in the dark and hear the squawking of the bird.
masta.g.86: Yes.
Hannibal Lecter: And you think if you save poor l4d2 team members lives, you could make them stop, don't you? You think if a l4d2 team member lives, you won't wake up in the dark ever again to that awful sqwuaking of the bird.
masta.g.86: I don't know. I don't know.
Hannibal Lecter: Thank you, masta.g.86. Thank you.

Electrocute the metal bars of the cage (assuming the base in insulated). Come on it's not bad or anything.
Best case scenario: The rabbit gets the shock of his life and stops chewing.
Worst case scenario: Tushi gets fully done midnight snack free of cost :p

Just saw a seriously creepy episode of The Vampire Diaries (the latest one), where they open the old church and see the vampires inside that are still alive. I felt so sorry for the girl, Elena who was forced to go down there and kept stumbling over the almost mummified look of the vampires. They reminded me of zombies...I hate zombies...

Clip your rabbits teeth.
Tie it down.With barbed wire.
Keep a cat beside it's cage.
Cover the bars in acid.
Tell him you're tired of chicken and google some rabbit dishes.Right in front of him.

I'd prefer a dog to a rabbit anyday. There's no need to cage a dog.
I was about to say that rabbits aren't very smart, but I recall that statement.
I had a hamster once. It could unlock the cage by using it's teeth to ply the door open. oO

With Hannibal now subdued and bound in a corner of the room, may I suggest a less gruesome method? Use an anti chew spray on the bars. They taste bitter, and dogs wont chew on it any more. I guess it will work for rabbits. If he can't chew the bars, he cant rattle them, giving you your well deserved beauty sleep. (Until he rams his body into the bars. Then I'm at a loss.

Rabbits chew the bars in order to trim their teeth. Hamsters teeth continue to grow since birth. This helps to prevent an ugly overbite.
Pet stores sell blocks of wood for this purpose. Only use wood from pet stores. Other blocks of wood could contain pesticides and preservatives which could poison your dear bunny.
You could also take it to the vet to get it's teeth trimmed down.
Note though that contrary to popular belief, rabbits are not rodents. They are lagomorphs.

Raabbits are cute though.;)Rabbits are actually very smart. And in actuality, Jack seriously does act like a dog. He plays fetch, races, digs holes, and has a huge personality like a dog. I'm not sure if it's all bunnies that are like that though or if Jack is special.

Jack doesn't chew the bars of his cage to trim his teeth. He has other toys for that. He only does it at a means of me getting annoyed and letting him get out.

Vampire Diaries was written in the late 80s, early 90s. At least 10 years before Twilight. :p Twilight seems like a preteen love fest that is totally unreal.
Vampire Diaries does have the vampire love, but it's done more tastefully. It is more realistic than Twilight to me. It has more answers and it doesn't look like things are randomly tossed together.

anyone here heard of 'ANONYMOUS' ???
or their new operation?
its called operation TITSTORM.
no im not posting anything that cant be included into a clean post. i live in australia where the jerks in parliament and some moron called Stephen Conroy (the minister for broadband communications) is going to try to force a bill through the Senate & other levels of Parliament to impose ISP-level (no, you can't break it with a circumventor - they'll block them. HTTP tunneling interface? They'll block the download sites too.) filtering on the whole country.
Meaning, not just one state. Not just one ISP. EVERYONE.
This is not an early April Fools joke, this is actually happening.
----
Despite:
-every ISP having refused to participate (largely on the grounds that they "value their customers" or "cannot afford implementation")
-a majority of states/territories having already stated that they will not support this proposal
and, -proof that the filter is ineffective,
it's such a crazy plan, it might just work.
The main issue that people are having is that it will bring internet speeds down by 70%. Now, correct me if I'm wrong (I probably am, I'm very bad at maths) but this leaves almost everyone with high-speed broadband (which is expensive here) will be back at dial-up speed. Dial-up people and those of us relying on wireless/mobile broadband won't *have* a connection.
I have experienced dial-up in the age of Flash websites, CSS, and hi-res images. Believe you me, having your eyeballs removed with a rusty spoon is infinitely preferable to trying to load any modern website on dial-up speed.
The other issue: The broad category of what should be banned.
Tell me, internet: what does 'unwanted content' mean?
It means, 'anything we don't want you to see'.
Refused Classification covers anything that:
*Depict, express or otherwise deals with matters of sex, drug misuse or addiction, crime, cruelty, violence or revolting or abhorrent phenomena in such a way that they offend against the standards of morality, decency and propriety generally accepted by reasonable adults to the extent that they should not be classified.
*Depict in a way that is likely to cause offence to a reasonable adult a minor who is, or who appears to be, under 16 (whether or not engaged in sexual activity).
*Promote, incite or instruct in matters of crime or violence.
Now, granted, some of this includes sites with instructions on how to make poisons, explosives and dangerous drugs, sites with torture videos, sites depicting some generally not very nice stuff.
It also contains sites that advocate harm-minimalisation approaches to drug addiction, sites seriously discussing euthanasia, sites showing perfectly legal pornography (especially fetish images - nudity or no nudity), and sites discussing the treatment of indigenous people in Australia's past (not a subject we're proud of, but hey, it did happen), among other things. It's a very broad category.
Not that long ago, Wikileaks leaked the ACMA draft blacklist. It's still up, despite threats against Wikileaks. Google it.
Alright. A lot of them *are* some very nasty sites. Some of them shouldn't exist, full stop. But masking the problem is only helping these sick people.
The money spent on this filter would be better spent on the Australian Federal Police's taskforce dedicated to finding and imprisoning these people for the things they have done.
There are other issues at stake here. This whole concept is a fundamental violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as laid out by the United Nations. (then again, the Australian government has never really shown any respect for international law, so it's not likely that they would care about that, even if it *could* get us trade sanctions from some countries that we rely upon for vital goods.) It violates our rights to freedom of speech, association and information as protected under Australian law. And honestly, it's a very big step on the road to totalitarianism. Sure, it's a slippery slope, but we have no reason to start down it!
We are the only democratic country with any form of internet filtering. And if we start, who will stop anyone else from starting?
I could go on for years here. I could post a 5k word essay (if I wasn't keeping a lot of people awake and at my place right now. Sorry, guys, but I'm in rant mode. There's a reason I told you not to let me do this. It's been 20 minutes now.) But, I'm going to stop here, and just say - form your opinion. Research. Do your homework.
Hopefully, you'll see it the way I, and much of Australia, do.
A good place to start is nocleanfeed. Electronic Freedom Australia is another good place to find information. Wikipedia will help you to understand our processes and just what is covered by the filter. Wikileaks will give you the draft blacklist - and it's not going to vanish soon, there's too many mirrors.
Last of all, look at the article for Operation Titstorm on Encyclopedia Dramatica. A warning to everyone: some of the advertising on this site does contain nudity, and you probably don't want to expand any image galleries. But watch the videos on the page, especially second from the bottom (unrelated, but that girl is awesome. I want to hug her. "In before Australia bans this video"? I love it.) and the messages from Anonymous to the Australian Government.
And if you're in Australia: February 20. There are protests countrywide. Adelaide's protest is Elder Park, 10am, march to Parliament House ending 3pm. Be there. No masks, guys, and don't be stupid and throw things or yell, or generally cause trouble - because if you do, you're just giving them a reason to call for us to be outlawed. The masks alienate us from the public - we want to show them that we are them; we are normal people, just like them (also, they just look silly). The rules are on the Operation Titstorm IRL article, which is linked.
We need your help. Nobody is immune. Not the great-grandmother who enjoys playing Farmville on Facebook. Not the two-year-old just learning to write. Not the fifteen-year old doing their homework. Not the twenty-year-old university student. Not the fifty-year-old stockbrocker. Nobody is immune. We are all in danger of being censored. And therefore, this is everyone's war. We are all involved, whether we want to be or not. And if we stay silent, then we will be silenced forever.
tl;dr, we need your help to keep the internet alive.

"The Australian Government has apparently also stated that they are banning 'pornography depicting small-breasted women'. Because it's 'practically pedophilia'.
Not every woman has the lucky genetics to be above a B-cup. Some women just have different genes.
Then again, why am I surprised? Stephen Conroy is a man.
(sorry for the sexism. Couldn't resist. Besides, he's being sexist too.)"
all of the above was written by dartigen on my account so ill just say a bit more then sign off.

here's what you have to do.
get the chain off the cog
place it on a small screw (the cavity of the screw should be of the same size as that of the chain's pin
take a screwdriver having the same thickness as that of the the chain's pin.
Now hit the chain's pin while keeping the chain on top of the screw( screw's cavity should be directly below the chains' pin.
=o=o=o=o=o=o=
o is the chain's pin

anyone here heard of 'ANONYMOUS' ???
or their new operation?
its called operation TITSTORM.
no im not posting anything that cant be included into a clean post. i live in australia where the jerks in parliament and some moron called Stephen Conroy (the minister for broadband communications) is going to try to force a bill through the Senate & other levels of Parliament to impose ISP-level (no, you can't break it with a circumventor - they'll block them.

How do I stop being sad, and be awesome instead?

Try to let go of the worry and the fear. Focus on the now and the good things in your life. When you feel those bad thoughts coming into your mind, do something that will take your mind off of them. Remember that you are alive and that the pain you have now will not kill you and even though it hurt like hell, you survived.
You also have friends here that are willing to help you in anyway we can, hun. I hope you know that. :)
