I don't see myself paying a lot for this, I know it will be nice, but for what do I use it?

I have a laptop and a good one for my needs, I game on it which I don't see myself doing on the iSlate unless it is games like tower defense type.

If is not a glorified Iphone OS rather a Mac OS X customized I wonder what the hackingtosh community will do. Maybe we'll see other tablets from HP running this OS albeit stripped.

If it's expensive, but has a tonne of useful features then you can't complain, but Apple's products just charge you for the brand name. I mean what's there in a $250 iPod that's absent in a <$150 Samsung Corby cell phone.....nothing! In fact the Corby has a lot more, besides being able to make phone calls and text messages.

I have an IPhone 3GS but I've never paid full price for it.

My Apple story.

Got an Ipod touch 1G 16gb which I traded for a pIII cpu with mobo.
Traded Ipod Touch 1G 16gb plus 50 bucks and got an Iphone 3g 8GB.
Traded my iPhone 3G 8gb for a 16gb 3G. Free
Traded my iPhone 3G 16gb for a 3GS 16gb FACTORY UNLOCKED. Free

I did all this in less than a year I think. :D

My iPhone 3GS 16GB is Factory Unlocked, that's some money there.
I plan to sell/trade it when the iPhone 4G comes out. :lol:

I was treated to an amazing sushi meal today. I haven't had sushi since I've gotten sick. I was so happy and surprised. :) Then I made some of my famous cream cheese homemade frosting to put on some cupcakes for my friends who had just taken me out to sushi.

One thing about the sushi that I love-when you get a few people to go with you, order different items from everyone and that way you can all share and have a wide variety of things.

This game has gotten me more excited than anything I've played for a long time. Even after coming off Batman: Arkham Asylum as the last game I played this is still absolutely fantastic.

Only about 2 or 3 people actually know what I have.

So when I say that I had a depressing doctor's appointment, the best thing would probably not to make a joke about it.

That goes for everyone that says that they are having a bad day. You shouldn't really make fun of it because someone may take it in bad taste like me. Even if you are trying to be helpful and make someone laugh and smile, try a different tactic. Sorry, but making a joke about such things is not really tasteful.

I assumed you were taking a little bit of a pot shot at me veiled as authoritative criticism; given it was directly after my post yet all the other posts for the last several days broke the seriousness rule you mentioned, and given all the drama going on, and whos camp you are in.

The issue really are the meds you've been taking. They've slowly been ****ing up your neurotransmitter systems and brain chemistry in the long run. You can achieve alot more in life then just doing things online. You just need some help picking yourself up off the ground. You are way way better then your opinion of yourself is.

If you could also change the way you eat. All that junk food & soda you consume is only making things worse for your mind and adding to your health problems.

3- I suggest you to really make a separation between Internet and your real life. A member here taught about his real life issues here and an old mod really made fun of it. It lead to crappy threads and situations. People here are not your friends. They generally won't care about your feelings. I hope you are aware of that.

If you really want to be listen and talk, RL friends you can really thrust are the best for that.

Thanks for the tips, sweets seem to be a big problem with me especially soda. I am exercising, but I do need to cut down my calorie intake and eat better. I find myself more exhausted as of lately, staying up late and sleeping the day away. It seems no amount of sleep is the right amount of sleep for me and I end up exhausted throughout the day dragging myself to do much of anything. I am also dealing with painful/annoying headaches almost everyday on top of feeling exhausted, I also feel like my body isn't getting enough oxygen.

You can start creating your own C-programs out of the box with any distro of Linux and make them in Terminal.

If you need more advanced tools, most of them are right away available from repository and you can easily get started with them.

You can run Matlab scripts via Octave and doing some HTML is as easy as you do it with Windows.

Of course, it depends what you want to program. Ubuntu offers you very many possibilities.

No idea why there is the extra slot, but the one not used is a different color to the other 3 slots!

You have a server to configure(apache, DNS, mail)? go for it. Just configure what you have to configure and GTFO. You want some comfort and don't want to "apt-get install" every 5 minutes? Stay on windows.

Moreover, Linux systems tend to be very Internet connexion dependent.

Done some reading of the manual and can now say this motherboard supports dual and triple channel,

There are 3 white slots and 1 blue, blue is only to be used when running 4 dimms in dual channel

And as i said earlier 1 of the pci-e 1x slots is indeed very much hard to use (if at all usable)oO but the 2nd one should be fine! (I have nothing pci-e 1x to test it)

Yep i agree with redlion. Ozz get virtualbox and install redhat. Try it there and if you start liking it, go for full install. But i don't really see the use for linux as primary OS just because you want to learn programming. The only reason I use linux is that it is not affected by malwares.

I agree and I liked RE more back when it was still horror/survival game. I have RE4 but I haven't gotten far as it sucks, sorry but that's how I feel about it... But i think there is one exeption to fast moving enemies I can say right off the bat. The RE's "sister" Dino Crisis, only the first though as the second was more of a action game already.

Just saw the 2hr first episode of the new season of House. Absolutely magnificent, this season is going to be a real corker.

I usually don't like lemon flavour because is too sweet and makes my stomach hurt. And that is usually green.

In candy if it's yellow here, they usually are banana type, which is kinda good.
