View Full Version : A (probably minor) problem with 1.6

If this has been covered, and it probably has, I do apologize in advance. Also I'm sort of not great with this sort of thing, so, bear with me.

I was out of town for a while and using epsxe 1.6 to play a particular game that I own. I put 50+ hours into it, and when it came time to return home, I had my friend burn the two folders I needed onto a disc so I could continue playing... who wants to give up fifty hours needlessly?

So I pop the cd in on my machine (which admittedly isn't a spring chicken, but it runs decently enough) today and when I go to start the ISO (it's all legit), I'm getting the No WGL Extensions message. After reading some of the FAQs and Read This First! stuff, I have an idea what this means... I'm just at a loss as to how to fix it i.e. what I need to d/l, from where, etc.

Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Did your graphics plugin accidentally get changed to Pete's OpenGL2 plugin?

2.9, yeah. It's the only option I have in the video config.

I didn't even set this up to begin with, my buddy did. All I did was play my game, heh. So you can see where I'm at a bit of a loss.

Go here (http://www.pbernert.com/html/gpu.htm).

Scroll down to the section: P.E.Op.S. Soft GPU (Windows)

Download the file and then unzip the contents into ePSXe's 'plugin' folder.

Start ePSXe and go to Config > Video and set it to the "soft" GPU.

Then click configure and set it to your liking.

Here's an example of some usage settings:
