what is your favorite game in all of history? doesnt matter if its a video game, board game, or back-of-the-cereal-box game. my personal favorite is Turok II: Seeds of Evil.

My most absoulte favorite game of all time, you say? Well it just has got to be (please don't laugh me off the face of the planet now) JR. Pac Man for the Atari 2600. It had all the tunes from the arcade, good graphics, fast game play, and incredible AI for the ghosts. I have issued a challange to anyone I know and that is, if they can finish just the first board w/all 4 ghosts active, then my "hat" is off to them. Those ghosts are so quick and so mean, plus they head straight for you, that, to me at least, it is impossible to finish even one board w/all four of them. I play w/just one ghost and even that is tough. IMHO, Jr. Pac Man was the finest game ever made for the Atari 2600. Thanks to emulation (Z26) I can still enjoy this great game on my computer.

Lufia2 for snes, absolute the best rpg, even thought the graphic aren't that good, but it's the only game that I really loved and played over 10times!! apparently the ending is very sad :( due to the story of lufia1, *if you had played the game you'll know*
DragonKnight 3*xentar knight* hehe it's a adult game but it's very interesting *the pic and the story* :P
suikoden 1, really love the game becoz it's unique it got rpg strategy and gambling stuff,

Hello everyone.
For PC, one of the game that I respect is the Commando series. Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines, Commandos: Beyond The Call Of Duty and the latest one, Commandos 2: Men Of Courage. These games are superb and very fun to play. The graphic is great, and the complexity and tactic were so good. If you need to play a tactical game, I recommend these. I salute the developers for making such amazing games.

All the other kids in my neighborhood had Super Nintendo's and Sega Genesis. But in 1993 I had a good ol 33mhz, 4mb ram, and 300mb Hard Drive PC HOG OF HELL!! I admit it was not much at all but, it was all I needed to run the only game I ever wanted in that whole 16-bit generation.......... D.O.O.M.
While all the other kids were playing their Street Fighters and Mario Karts, I was running around surreal 3D architectures dumpin bullets in the asses of those minions of hell who mutilated my comrads.

I am not sure about Ryos's comment tho. Tetris is kinda perfect... in a sense. ok that is a little too philosophical :emb:
Snake785. Yeah I loved Descent II. Too bad the multiplayer was written for IPX only, and internet wrappers (I mostly used zone.com) were far from perfect. Add to the fact that most people didn't have high speed internet, I kinda feel the game's potential was never fully realized. Descent, from the first one, was truely 3D, unlike Doom or Duke "3D", both of which seemed to be more popular on BBS and subsequently on the internet.
The unofficial remakes spawned from the source release were a little late for the party.
Parallax should really have made something to counter Quake. The gab from D2 to D3 was too wide, both technologically and chronologically.

Heh, I wouldn't have known someone else would like D2 on the forums. Mostly because well, everybody I know in RL never liked it.
That was a down fall since multiplayer was wriiten for IPX. But multiplayer was pretty good if you are playing with other people with fast connections. Sometimes you can get people that lag SO much, its actually impossible to kill them. I used to play D2 over Kahn about a year ago. Ever since Igot Win2k, I couldn't been able to go on it. :( But I'll dual-boot my computer with Win98 so I can continue playing the game that I love. :) Btw, I really suck at Descent. :D

Anyway, in my humble opinion Elite is the greatest game of all time and its also now freely available.
You can grab it here (http://www.iancgbell.clara.net/elite/) from Ian Bell's website in all its forms.
And its excellent sequels have also been freely released and are available from the Elite club (http://www.eliteclub.co.uk) .

Hello everyone.
I have been playing Medal of Honor: Allied Assault for quite a while, and needless to say, I'm impressed. In the game, I'm surprised by the creativity and excitement in it. For example, the mission at Omaha Beach. For those who had watch the movie Saving Private Ryan, this is the chance to take part and feel the heat of battle. It's a superb first person shooting game, the best you can expect from the classic Doom style game, Id Software.

I have 3 favorites.
Final Fantasy 2 (Snes).
My Real first introduction to RPG's, loved it. Story kicked, graphics kicked, Kain Kicked (I love that Dragoon but they never ever got his jump right in any other game ever).
Herzog Zwei (Genesis)
First Real RTS game (if you havent played it, Play it!). First real game where the bases you took over gave you the money to build the army, and the army rocked (tanks, apc's, Motor Cycles, boats, no planes though). The Other really Good aspect of it was that you were the main form of Transport. You controlled a Transformable Plane (could be a plane to shoot the enemy who is also a plane, could transport 1 Troop anywhere you liked, and could turn into a Robot and Take out enemy troops.
Bases were HUGELY important, you could actually get involved, you could intercept the enemy, setup attacks and retreats, Repair machines. Damn that rocked. The coolest part is when you ran out of gas, you blew up.
DragonBall z Final Bout
I actually owned that game for 6 months. Loaned it to a friend, then they suddenly join the army and takes it with them to germany. Grrr! Slow for a fighter game but they did a good job of capturing DBZ.
I bet thats the most wanted ISO in PlayStation Existence.

Well I truly tried to make a choice, but rpg games like Chronotrigger and the FF series aren't really comparable to other great games of other kinds, for example Mortal Kombat in the fighters, Red Alert and Age of Empires in the Strategies... They're all great but not really comparable, in my opinion, so who's to say whatever the greatest game is!? But I guess the best game is also the one which is played the most, like the Counterstrike stuff at the moment...
