I heard that it is running on emulator but I am not sure...

I dont know this is true or fake, but i "heard" it has been dumped sometimes ago, by a guy called mr Lee. Anyway,i think we still need to wait few more months in otder to play it on emulator since so many objections to prevent it from releasing at the moment.

Btw, i dont know whether the pics here are fake or real...

True or fake, it's still KOF2001 shots, we 'll just pretend it as the arcade version. :)

mr lee was trying to dump kof 2000/ not kof 2001; which is new.
But by the looks of these pics it looks like the chinese have the rom out already.:eek:

First of all, some information on the game itself.
A friend of mine did some investigation on the mvs roms...and some testing...We found something interesting.
That is..this episode of KOF does not contain proper CONSOLE MODE MENUs (team play, team vs, practice, options, etc). I dont know if Eolith is too lazy to make them or what, while switching to console mode only ugly looking text menus appear instead of a nice looking menu. Options can be accessed but the menu inside is blank...Practice mode is available, but also very buggy, with ugly looking text menus. So i think the HOME version would not be identical to the MVS ver. as the previous games.. Well atleast they need to re-do that console mode layout..

As for those screenshots, they look real to me...But i'm quite sure that BillyJr knows what he is doing. He knows whether to release them or not. Personally i do not want to see the roms floating around this early...I mean, atleast after the home version is released..or maybe during the summer time.

NEO-0 is not likely to release the roms of this game anytime soon, although we are quite sure we can dump most of it without problem.

Oh one last thing. The way to activate the 2 bosses Real Zero and Ignis is to turn on dip-switches 4 and 5. The two bosses are on the right of the "?" icon. For some particular MVS, you need to hold start and then move your cursor to the right of the "?". That explains the use of Ignis in the shots.
If Ignis is selected, you cannot select any other fighters or strikers...it would automatically fill the other 3 spaces with Ignis's pic. So that explains the pic with 4 Ignis...

I always though that Samurai Shodown, Fatal Fury, or Last Blade were vastly superior series w/ better game play and animation. I think SNK stumbled onto an easy to replicated formula with KOF. Nothing much has changed since KOF96 and I'm getting quite bored. The least they can do is fill in a few extra frames of animation or tweak the game play to be more responsive...

100% support to billyjr all the way!~~~~~~~ u kno itz him dat brough me into diz emulation community(eventho he doesnt even kno me) when i first learned about playin' console gamez on a pc from surfin' to his website back in the early dayz while zsnes still had itz ooold gui layout.
ah, dat brings back my good old memoriez....

The racing background looks a bit removed, like the characters aren't standing there at all.

I never liked the KOF series much, although I like many of the other SNK fighting games.

This looks some what fake! :P Look at the fighting screen shtos! The backround is totaly fake and the menu bars and stuff. More liked Mugen with KOF characters. :P

i dont like those games like samurai shodown series and fatal fury series.. the gameplays just suck compare to street fighter series if u ask me, and street fighter series's gameplays just suck compare to kof98 and the latest versions. (well, the most outstanding parts that makes me like kof series are, i can walk fast,thus,fight fast. I really cant stand slow motion figting games like samurai shodowns after i tried kof.) Anyway,i also dont like kof97 and the older versions. (b4 kof98,i was a hardcore street fighter series fan atleast for 8 years.)

Just my opinions. :)
