where do i awitch to single core mode?

i just read somebody's post in another thread that they switched epsxe to single core mode. i haven't found any such setting on 1.7.0. could someone point that out for me?

its not done in the emulator, its done through windows task manager by manually setting the cpu affinity on the "epsxe.exe" process. you dont need to do this anyway if you are using 1.7.0, the multi-core bug was fixed, it only applies to 1.5.2 and 1.6.0 now. if you are using an AMD dual core though, regardless of the version, its highly recommended you install what i have linked to below-
