don't underrate Aeris, while she had poor HP (if she was around later in the game u could have equiped some HP up materia on her) and weak physical attacks, she was the best magic user in the entire game.

Mr Urt: ...And her last limit break made you literally invincible (although that's not particularly hard to do in FF7). I've always liked Aeris the most in the game, although I don't know why.

although i haven't tried it, i believe that with gameshark you can get Sephiroth and he has 4 limit breaks as well. the thing about aeris is that i didn't need healing. restore+all was enough for me. and then when you get the enemy skill, white wind, you won't lose a character unless you by death or 9999 damage. the ONLY time i died was when i was trying to learn beta from Midgar Zolom at lv. 18. and even then, since he kicks out a character, it wasn't technically a "Game Over". for the lack of fighting power, its not worth building her up when she's going to die anyways.

too bad, I can't test them. i may try the 'ultimate sepheroth code', but not now(i don't have enough time). i was gonna try the other one, but it replaces vincent, and i don't have vincent (i did get him in the game but...). I'm not gonna try either of them mainly because my cpu got a virus and I had to rewrite my hd to zeros, and when i was backing up my cpu i somehow missed the epsxe savegames. if ne1 has a link to a site that has a savegame of FF7 that's right outside the final cave (forget wat its called exactly), cuz that's where i was when i had to rewrite my hd.

Erm... That's not *entirely* correct. You can bring her back all right. I've done it. But there's a few catches. The first is, the storyline will *not* change in *any* way. As far as the storyline is concerned, Aeris is dead. Period. There's only *one* exception to this in the entire 60+ hour game. If you take her to Icicle Inn and jump off the cliff... or go down the slope... Or whatever it is you do, your party will crash-land in the snow, just like they would if Aeris wasn't there. Cloud will get up and ask the others if they're OK. Barret(or whoever) will say "Yeah, I'm fine". Aeris will get up, and say "I'm sick of this". The reason this is an exception, is because Aeris dies before you get to Icicle Inn. Anyway, the other catch is, Aeris will be "locked" in your party. Meaning that if you try to move her, the game won't let you(Jesus Christ, I've had her during the Omnislash fight with Sephiroth at the end before!). However, I'm sure it IS possible to correct this with a GameShark code... I mean, that's what they're there for.

If you wanna try something REALLY interesting, resurrect Aeris, and use the game shark to level her up to 99, and max out ALL of her stats. Give her all the materia abilities, all the magic, all the summons, strongest weapons and armor(there's a code you can use that'll give her the Masamune. It'll display her Guard Stick, but it'll do Masamune'ish damage, and it'll even light up the screen), and a ribbon accessory. Then program your game shark to have JUST Aeris in your party(you'll have to program each slot. Slot 1 will be emtpy, slot 2 will have Aeris, and slot 3 will be empty, or whichever combination you prefer). Then take her into the final fight with Sephiroth alone. Man, that flower girl can kick some @$$... And I haven't done this part myself just yet, but when you get to the final fight with Sephiroth, and you find that you JUST have Aeris in your party, summon Choco-Mog(or whatever it's called), and enjoy a humorous ending to Sephiroth's story. Then it'll end the game in the usual way with FMVs and credits. However, YOU HAVE TO PROGRAM THE GAME SHARK TO GIVE YOU ALL THOSE STATS AND MATERIAS, EVEN IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THEM IN YOUR PARTY. Why? I have the pc version and I used a trainer that gave me Aeris and sephiroth in my party. Problem was is that everytime I entered a battle the game would crash. (regardless of what I done/did)

Well, let's be fair, Rinoa's limit breaks are more support-oriented and not really offensively powerful. Her Angel-type breaks(after she becomes a sorceress) are nice, but too random. All-in-all not terribly useful. I've found Selphie to be a much more useful support character, for full-cure limit break.

i never really used Aeris or Rinoa, mainly becuase they keep dying, or disappearing or not being allowed in the party. it makes more sense to use the characters that are always there to build them up.

I didn't used to use Aeris, but now I constantly use her when I can. Why? Everyone stays on about the same level as far as experience goes, but she gets all sorts of insane amounts of materia leveling in her later staffs. I may just use that excuse to justify using her... :p

Magic isn't really nessacary in Final Fantasy 7 and above, barring Cure. In FF9, Magic is simply too weak to use at all, as the characters regularly do mode damage anyway. In FF8, you're afraid of losing the pwer of your junctions, plus it's really weak. In FF&, you want to save all your mp for multiple KOTR summons ^_^
I agree about Aeris' limit, but it becomes a moot point after disc 1. I don't cheat to get her back, coz it ruins the plot of the game in a way.
I've been thinking over this question again. Tifa's :eyespin::eyespin: are a real clinching point to be honest. Aeris' death put's a real downer on any relationship with her :(

alright, i just loaded up the game and the first thing Cloud says when you summon him is "Last thing i remember was getting caught in the current." i assume he's talking about the life stream which means it does happen after Aeris dies.
