Gex 3d: Enter the Gecko-Wack

I was playing Gex 3d to see if it plays fine in the ePSXe and everything works fine, but something is wrong with the screen. it appears to have random spots on the screen dissappear and reappear. It is much easier to show than to tell. Can anyone please offer advice?

update your catalyst drivers to 8.5 or higher.
