I have a couple of problems when using the emulator.

After Booting a gamecube (.gcm) game it crashes.
After Booting a Wii (.iso) game it shows a few error messages (shown below) and then it crashes.

These are the error messages which were given:

CWII_IPC_HLE_DeviceIO: Cant open wii/shared2/sys/SYSCONF

CWII_IPC_HLE_DeviceIO: Cant open wii/title/00000001/00000002/data/setting.txt

CWII_IPC_HLE_DeviceIO: Cant open wii/title/00000001/00000002/data/play_rec.dat

Can anyone help me with this problem, please?

My computer specifications are in my signature.

Many thanks...

On the wii part of the emulation that is typical.
basically with Wii emulation you just keep hitting OK till the game either loads the intro or screen goes black :)

What gamecube game was you trying to run?

Wii games.. Do you have masterkey.bin ? Well, it is illegal to ask for one. You must dump it from your Wii. Therefore, you need this to run wii games but remember that it will only show intro or video and that's it.. no further ingame at all.. not yet anyway. :)

I have a couple gamecube (.gcm) games on my computer which are:

Luigi's Manison (PAL)
Super Smash Bros. Melee (PAL)

Also, I am aware that wii games only go as far as the intro which means I have a copy of "masterkey.bin". Which I use for virtual console wad injections.

Without masterkey you dun see the wii games in the list so he wouldn't get those errors :). Anyway those errors are quite normal, have them too in 32 bits version of Dolphin I saw when I checked it out. Always better than 64 bits version where it borks out immediately :D.

Edit: weird that smash bros doesn't run, works fine for me. I do run the x64 version though, but don't think that would matter too much. Tried playing around with the plugin settings a bit already?

The gamecube games which I have should work as they have been tested. Unless, there is something wrong with the .gcms.

Edit: Just to add, I've only set the directories. Nothing else apart from setting the emulator to run with the same window.

Check their byte size:
1,459,978,240 bytes is correct

Anything different than that and something went wrong when making the dump, retry in that case.

Yes, they are exactly the same size as mentioned. So, I don't know what's wrong.

Any other ideas?

Edit: I changed the GFX plugin and everything works now.

Thanks for your help (it looks like I need a new GFX card which supports 3D)
