ok i know there are probably a million of these threads asking questions about FF7 but i couldnt find a solution to my problem after lookin around so i decided to ask.

Anyways the problem im having is that with Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.8. The problem is that when im on the world map large sections of the world seem to be missing and just have black spots. It doesn't affect game play in any way but its a real eyesore. I've tried the recommended settings for this plugin but i still have this problem.

so if anyone has had this same problem and knows how to fix it please let me know.

thank you very much.

also ive been playing around with Pete's DX6 D3D Driver 1.76 which looks alot better, clearer image and no missing parts on the world map but the battles go in hyper speed. if anyone could tell me how to fix either of these problems it would be great

ive also had some sound bugs while in battle, its kind of funny so that doesnt bug me too much

im not sure of all my specs but im running on windows Vista(grrr) and my graphics card is ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO, dont know if that helps

Upgrade your ATI Drivers to the latest *or atleast above 8.5) your problems are from there (from catalyst version 7.12 till 8.4 all catalyst drivers have broken Opengl drivers), and for a good pete's opengl 2.X config check out this 2 threads: http://forums.ngemu.com/psx-plugin-questions-troubleshooting/45533-ff7-ogl2-configs.html

Also, I read either at the base NGEmu site or Pete's official site that his plugins have problems with anything made by Square in any of it's forms (Squaresoft, Square-Enix, etc.)
This also may have been present when I was selecting the plugin to use, or the guide.

mmm, mostly CDR reading errors, just try different CDR plugins, you'll get ride of it that way.

I would just like to say that I had the same problem as the creator of this thread and upgrading my drivers (from 8.4) removed it just like you said it would. Thank you very much.
