psx games lag

i burned final fantasy 7 for my fat psx.
i'm using:
dvd decrypter (burning speed x1)
my blank cd brand is: tdk cd-r
swap trick using no mod chip

the game's speed is pretty good, but the game lags on fmv cutscenes, transitions to new rooms, and battles.

it also lags on bust a groove 2

Your Playstation's laser is probably taking a crap on you. Try using a different brand of CD-R? Or, *gasp*, possibly use and take care of the original discs?
