I want one of those too, you need some kind of device where you can insert your controller. But I don't know what it's called or where to buy one. Anyone knows...

you would want something like this (http://www.gamestech.com/pc_accessories_info/card_cable/psx_n64_controller_adapter_for_pc_usb/cable.htm). there are probably better ones out there but that is the general idea behind it.

I think what you'll find in GameStops and the like now are PS2 to PS3 adapters. Those work on PC's since the PS3 uses USB.

I'm using a twin usb vibration gamepad (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=twin%20usb%20vibration%20gamepad&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi)

Ebay! Ebay! Ebay! You can get two of the dual shock ones for less than $20. They work pretty good to!

Why screw around with adapters and knock-offs? Just sync a PS3 controller to PC:

check ebay or amazon. i use a pc gamepad myself so i dont really know what would be considered a fair price for one of those things.

The Source, Radioshack, Gamestop, Bestbuy, ebay, etc... they should all have PSX/PS2/PS3 to usb adapters so you can use your real authentic ps2 controller.

I would look on their websites however just to confirm so you don't make a trip down there for nothing and end up buying some flimsy controller.

Edit nm, your Puerto Rico. I'd say buy on ebay, or buy one of Microsofts xbox360 usb pads.

Nice question though. Is it bug free and fully functional?

What about under vista?

I would like to know also.

I installed sixaxis drivers for my DualShock 3 and my PC does recognize it. However, when trying to use it in epsxe it doesnt respond to my controller at all. I tried different settings and both Analog On and OFF.

do other emulators recognize it?

ePSXe is the only emulator I have tried. But I do know the controller works now that I installed the sixaxis for PC drivers. Before during the calibration portion when I click on game controllers under Control panel it wouldn't respond to any my joystick and/or button presses. After installation of sixaxis drivers when I go to do calibration the cross hairs move accordingly.

What other emulators do you recommend I test it on? Preferrably one that the sixaxis controller is known to work with.

Well, in PSX scene, any plugin based emulator can do the trick.

Well I got it to work. Being the noob that I am I didn't configure the controller properly within the epsxe set up. Just click in the field and press the corresponding button the default keyboard letter will change to something like J_B7. I could of sworn when I was playing around with it earlier nothing happened. Could be that maybe I had to press the PS button first or something.

Anyways for those of you that have PS3 Sixaxis or Dualshock 3 you can get them to work on epsxe. You just need to d/l the sixaxis driver as the default drivers detected that come with windows xp will not work. Just google 'sixaxis driver' and you will see many links to download it.
