im very new at this. im trying to play silent hill but the intro and gameplay is all too slow.
here are the specs (the computerīs outdated):

Windows XP Pro
Pentium III
551 MHz, 512 RAM
Intel(R) 81810 Graphics Controller
DirectX 9.0c

Petes OpenGL Driver 1.77:

If i am you, i will use this plugin and setting.

GPU: Peter's D3D Driver
SPU: Eternal SPU Plugin Lite
CDROM: P.E.op.s. CDR Driver

No way you can have a serious epsxe experience with pentium 3 processor. :spy: and that crappy graphic card.

Yeah, your PC is too slow/old/crappy to emulate anything over SNES, I'm actually impressed you managed to keep for that long.
Heh I'm used to say that in the PCSX2 section, I can't believe I'm doing it in the ePSXe one ^^'

I tend to get better preformance using P.E.Op.S Soft Dirver. Then again I that was when I was running on my 500MHz pentium 2 with 512ram in it. sad but true I just got a p4 a few months ago.

psx will give similar, if not better, performance than that.
