View Full Version : Freeware Install Shield type thing available?

Does anybody know if there are any freewware InstallShield-type programs available, eg something where you can choose the installation path, and also modify autoexec.bat and registry?

Though honestly I've never used it myself, Nullsoft (the makers of Winamp) have their Pimp Installer system available for free use. I don't know if it'll do everything you'd like, however. I hope that's at least marginally helpful.

That website for NSIS (Nullsoft SuperPiMP Installlation System) doesn't get updated often, here's the more current one:

some free install shield thing comes with MS office and visual studio

another good install proggie is Innosetup!!
u can use to create installations like installshield!!

grab it from www.innosetup.com
