hmmm. alright do this- download epsxe 1.5.2 or 1.6.0 and set them up as close as you can to what you have now. however in their pad config menus what you want to have displayed is "digital/analog", then while in-game, press the F5 to toggle the analog on/off. if it doesnt work there too then i think it would probably mean its related to the controller itself and/or its drivers rather than the emulator/version.

You don't even have to copy the memory card files--under Config > Memory Cards, you can just navigate to whatever folder the cards are in.

I have this kind of issue before with my Rumblepad 2. It worked just fine when I installed its latest driver from Logitech website.

It happened the same to me. I'm use the PS2 Dual Shock controller, and changing to 1.5.2 fixed the problem. Are you going to fix this in the next patch for 1.7.0? Thanks!
PS: I hope that 2 weeks since last post is not considered thread necromancy.

i have no idea im not one of the developers for epsxe that would be something you would have to ask them, sorry. i might post something about this in a section where they could become aware of it though (if this is really some sort of bug in 1.7.0).

Its a driver issue, The same problem occurs on other logitech products with older drivers.
(I just set my wingman pro up to run in epsxe)

I'm using the PS2 Dual Shock controller with the Super Joy Box 3 connector:
Super Joy Box 3--PC USB to PS/PS2 game controller adapter (http://www.mayflash.com/pc/pc001/pc001-1.htm)
May I ask why it doesn't work with 1.7.0 and it does with 1.5.2? I know that you made some changes to gamepads in the latest version, but would it be possible to add an option for "backwards compatibility" so that gamepads that worked perfectly on 1.5.2 work like that in 1.7? Because I searched for the latest drivers, and they are very old and they don't fix this issue...
Thanks. :)

i have a theory on the problems with superjoybox actually.... it seems they don't accurately support Dinput properly....

Any hope for a solution? Or should I stick with 1.5.2 if I want it to work well?
Thanks once again.

what drivers are you usng currently?

its too bad you didn't get a PS to Xbox converter, then you coud've used an xbox to pc converter and used XBCD

The Super Joy Box 3 ones from Mayflash. The normal ones, not the PRO ones. I tried using the pro ones and the smart joy ones, but now they ruined my configuration and it doesn't even work on the 1.5.2 version... :(

I would have never known, since I don't own an XBOX, only a PS2.

uninstall all current drivers
remove the device from device manager.
unplug the control.
Reboot.
Install the drivers
plug in the control, and let it install them.
this has worked on anytime i've screwed up xbcd.

Yes, I managed to switch between different drivers, and now it works fine in 1.5.2, but still doesn't work on 1.7.0... Thanks for your help, even though I didn't manage to solve it through drivers... So, I'm stuck with the old version if I want to use both digital and analog controls?

Thank you very much, Squall-Leonhart. I hope that you can find a fix for the next build. Keep up the good job! :D
