I downloaded FFIX from *snip*, and I have fine frame rates until I enter battles. In battles it jumps around between 20 and 55 FPS and the music jumps with it.
My system is:
Pentium 4 2.8 GHz
2 GB RAM
ATI Radeon X1550 512 MB Hyper memory
Sound Blaster Audigy
and I'm running ePSXe 1.7 with
Pete's OpenGL 2.9
ePSXe SPU core 1.7
I've tried bringing down the video settings as much as possible, but battle sequences are still slow, and I've checked that it isn't because of too much information through the CPU
