When I play a game like street fighter ex2 plus or tekken 3, the quarter-circle forward or backward motion doesn't work too well. On my playstation, a quick down, right + punch throws a hadoken in street fighter, but on the emulator the down-right diagonal doesn't register when using the same method.

Is this a problem with my gamepad (Dragon PC Double Powerbox 2 psx-to-pc adapter with the original playstation controller), or am I using the wrong input plugin for epsxe? What gamepad setup are you guys using to play fighting games?

Thanks in advance.

I'm using a USB gamepad, and have absolutely no problem with all versions, check this screenshot from DOA

Hmmm, so you can do the "down, down-right, right + H" combination by just pressing "down, right + H" - just like in the original playstation - with your gamepad and emulator?

If so, may I ask which usb gamepad and which input plugin you're using?

I just don't know why it's harder to do this quarter-circle motion for me on an emulator and how easy it is on the playstation

epsxe does not support gamepads in windows.
