Hello I got a question. Look at this site CMGSCCC.com - The Official Code Breaker Site (http://www.cmgsccc.com/codes.php?do=view&id=1258&page=22)
Here are some game shark codes for the pec cheater. But as you can see there is a Ultimate sephiroth code. But you see there are tons of codes to choose from. Which one shall I take? O.o I tried to use a random code from the list but nothing happens when I use it. Anyone who knows how to make the cheat work?:heh:

Ok I got espxe v 1.6.0. And I have installed pec version 3.2.2 and I use the pec edit to add cheats to the database. The thing is I took another cheat from that site so Cloud got 9999 HP. Just to try if another cheat worked and it did. But it was only one line of code. The sephiroth ultimate code has tons of lines of codes. Which one shall I choose? When a code is displayed like this?

the cloud cheat works but what shall i do with the ultiamte sephiroth codes?? Also I found a option in the pec edit that sais Import from HTML (Online). How shall I use it to import all the sephiroth codes on this site?

OK first, we need to confirm that your game is PAL/NTSC, to do so, look in your CD-ROM for a file in which the name as fellow, give/post that name :

SCES-xxx.xx, SLES-xxx.xx, SLUS-xxx.xx...etc

You don't understand, it will take time to explain that was just the first step, by the way which final fantasy you've used for your game from pec list? give me the exact name as written in pec list, or else we have to create a new one which is usefull for future use with other games.

Aha so there are more steps, im playng Final Fantasy VII so I took the codes from the USMC section under Final Fantasy VII. Also if you got msn we can talk realtime. Got msn??

Ok, this is usefull even if you want to edit a previuos listed game or to add a new game to the list, :

1- first of all be sure to copy PecEdit.exe & RICHTX32.OCX to your pec folder

2- Run your pec editor and click edit in the top-right corner to enable the edit fields.

3- Now, to add new game, just click add, it will turn into save button, its normal, 'cause it'll save your new edited stuff.

4- Enter your game title & Game ID & Discription & comments as illustrated (leave anythig you don't know blanck, don't try to be smart 'cause any stupped information will ruin the whole work).

5- For the real stuff now, adding the codes you requested, just copy/paste them in game shark fields

6- now, hit save to save your modifications, there you are, you did just entred your desired codes, now, exit pec editor and run pec + your emulator and check if your codes are working.

NOTE : this is the basic idea, but mastering all peceditor options is far from this and needs a huge time to fully understand its components, good luck

I'm here to finally break the ice for you guys, I've used to do alot of research on the ultimate sephiroth code and had to come up with my own code for it. the original code was to replace vincent with sephiroth so that you can go along with the story with seph in your party, unfortunately that will never happen unless someone can make a code to do so, however I have the codes to allow you to control him from the top and middle position as seen in the main menu in the game. I also have a third code for the bottom but because the game glitches with the code on you need a joker command to turn on and off the code throughout battling.

here are the codes from my notepad from years ago

Control Sephiroth in all party slots

300F844C 00C8 First (top)
300F83E4 00C8 second (middle)
D0000000 0000 (where the joker command needs to be)
300F84B4 00C8 Third (bottom) glitches, joker command needed

these codes have been used in both gameshark on the ps1 and the PEC
note that this is to control sephiroth in battle and not to be used in going along with the story because the game will freeze when your other party members come out of cloud.
you also need the USO code which is a secret menu that lets you switch out and choose your party members anytime at the menu

with this code you can save and use PHS and the USO menu anytime

Looking at Kneggle's code, I'm not sure if it works. I created the USC about 10 years ago. The point of it was to control Sephiroth throughout the entire game. You'll see Sephiroth in battle instead of Cloud, you can equip Sephiroth and he even gets all of cloud's limit breaks. (Try my code when Cloud has Omnislash and you'll see exactly what I mean).

Anyway, best of luck to you. Enjoy FF7, I know I still do. :)

that long code is old, outdated, and a bunch of broken promises. I saw that code on gameshark central and honestly it never worked. and I pretty much figured that it's impossible to control sephiroth throughout the entire game, but to just control him in battle whenever I could was good enough for me. the idea to replace cloud with sephiroth seems pretty silly to me too because if you ever manage to get sephiroth in your party you'll notice that he shares the same stats as vincents, and there was also a long lines of codes whose purpose was to replace vincent with sephiroth too but that never worked either. when I discovered the USO menu code it was a pretty neat menu because with it I could change my party members at any time and even if I wanted to get cloud out of the party and just have tifa or cid walk around the world map or any other character in the towns(with some exceptions and of course not sephiroth) but the USO menu also gave me access to both sephiroth(#10 in the menu) and young cloud (#9 in the menu). so if you're a bit skeptical about how my code works why don't you just try the USO menu for yourself? you can access it by going to the main menu and pointing the cursor under a blank space under SAVE then press O and it'll pop out. when you understand how to get sephiroth into your party by using the USO menu then try using the code that will control him when hes in the center position and use the USO menu to put him there and tell me whether or not you can control him in battle then. just because the code is way smaller than that huge ultimate sephiroth code doesn't mean it doesn't work, it just means its more simpler and straight to the point.

I'd like to know how your USC code even works, I'd like to see you break it down for me line by line or by sections and explain to me what they do to the game to even get cloud replaced by sephiroth. its too long and too time consuming and to just activate it and find out it don't work is just a huge dissapointment. my code is only a fraction of the size of yours and does exactly what I said it'll do. I bet you didn't even try it yourself before claiming its a dud, which really upsets me because I didn't decide to register to a forum to deliver a seph code that works only to have people doubt me without trying what I gave them. if you don't wanna even bother with it then fine its your loss, but it was with that code that gave me personally alot of good times with the game and other prolly unheard of codes that made it an even more awesome experience, heck I had a code that helped me start the game and then 15 minutes after I left the first area I was already whipping safer sephiroth and on my way to the credits. so don't take me for a noob and try the code before you even give it a thumbs down.:PCmad:

I am using PEC v2.5 and tried entering game shark codes for 800112D8 423F and 800112DA 000F for max money. These codes do not seem to work. I have followed directions and sent cheats to plugin directory. I have emulator v1.5.2. Can anyone solve this? Thanks to any and all responses.

well the purpose of the ultimate sephiroth code, is to allow you to play and control sephiroth as one of the members in your party. sephiroth is not obtainable in the game but is in your party during the flashback in nibelheim. theres a long set of codes that replaces vincent or cloud (I'm not sure I have my own code that I use that I will explain later) and will put sephiroth in its place. again because sephiroth was only there in your party during the flashback with young cloud and if you happen to have him in your party by some other means the game will freeze whenever cloud and the rest of the guys come out of him to say somethin, so you can't advance through the story while having him your party unless you have a code that can bring someone else (i.e vincent) in his place. the codes that I layed down here are two codes; the USO code, located invisibly under the save option in the menu which allows you to switch out whoever with whoever whenever you can even bring out both sephirth and young cloud( they are marked as 9 for young cloud and 10 for sephiroth, 255 for blank), and the codes to control sephiroth from the top and middle positions as seen from the game menu, I have one to control from the bottom but the game glitches and freezes after the battle is won so the only way to avoid that is by turning it on and off with the joker command or something. the codes I've layed down here are shorter and much straight to the point of what its generally meant to do, but its not perfect. I've tried the actual 30 line ultimate sephiroth code a few times before but have never gotten it to work and because its soo long I felt that I was wasting my time for nothing, since I don't know why every gameshark code for this game marked "For Gameshark 2.2 or higher" doesn't ever seem to work for me if I'm obviously using a version higher than that, but if someone can do me the favor of helping me out the matter I'd humbly appreciate it, I hope that answers most general quesitions about the ultimate sephiroth code


update-after further research, I've concluded the major differences between the codes I've provided and the actual ultimate sephiroth code. most of the sephiroth related codes are written for the parallel port version of the psx gameshark in which the psx model that supports it as well as the gameshark itself is hard to come across. the gamesharks for the PS1 that are more common to come across by are the CDX versions that have little or no support for the "ver 2.2 or higher" type codes and therefore doesn't support the actual ultimate sephiroth code. what I have provided as I've said before are the codes to allow you to control and have sephiroth in your party when desired granted that you avoid those moments in the game where your party interacts with one another ( you don't want sephiroth in your party at that time or the game will freeze). I apologize for not doing my research about the actual code earlier before I made my posts, but the only other question that arises now about the PEC cheater is if its capable of supporting the gameshark codes that only work for the parallel port version of the gameshark for PSX. I hope that clears things up a little more about the matter
