What graphics plugin are you using and what resolution are you playing at? Also, give us a little more info on the situation, like your computer specs and what game you're playing.

you said you were using "petes newest one", i take it you mean the OGL2 2.9, so what about when you use other video plugins like the d3d or OGL1, does it still happen?

gpu plugins (http://www.pbernert.com/html/gpu.htm). test it with either the D3d or the OGL1.

right, but if you scroll down a bit on that page though you should see links to the d3d and OGL1 plugins. download them, extract them and then place them into your \plugins directory. then in the GUI of the emulator go to the video config and select either the d3d or the OGL1 plugin as the plugin you want to use (this is just for testing purposes, its nothing you need to stick with). the point of doing this is that it will tell you if this issue you are getting is showing up in any plugin you try or if it is limited to the OGL2, so basically its going to make figuring out the cause of this problem much easier.
btw can you check something for me? i need you to go into the mouse setup which can be accessed via the system control panel and see if what is displayed is different from what i have here:

yes those are the ones.
im starting to think this could be some sort of driver related thing (either video, mouse, or both), make sure your drivers have been installed correctly and any old drivers have been removed correctly. also make sure your drivers are up to date.
puppetj

the drivers are up to date, i check on that but i havent installed that last plugin
OGL/D3D would that be why?

If you move your pointer all the way to the right the mouse pointer practically disappears from the screen, how that doesn't help? You can't move it all the way to the right of the screen as it goes?

you mean you havnt put them in the plugins directory? if thats the case, no, plugins that are not being used will not affect anything. whatever plugin that is currently set to be active is what you need to look at. however i suggest you try using either the d3d or the OGL1 for testing purposes to see if this is related to the plugin you are using and its settings or if it is being caused by something else (something outside of epsxe for example).

1- Your system sucks for sure, save any files/data/...etc you got on your active HDD partition to another one, then apply a full format to that partition, then scandisk.
2- After confirming that your partition is 100% operational, install again a good copy of your OS (get a technical help from someone else so you will not ruin it again).
3- After installing and loading your OS, install a good antivirus and scan your computer (full scan).
4- Now install all your hardware drivers, try to get the latest pack for each.
5- There you're, a good clean system, now go back to your emulation stuff.
HAVE FUN.!!

look around in the mouse config panel and see if you can find a setting that will allow you to hide the mouse cursor when its not being used in an active window.

you say this only happens with the OGL plugins? do you have any OGL games like quake 4 that you could test out to see if this very same issue is present in games or applications other than anything related to epsxe?
puppetj
June 8th, 2008, 03:10
doesnt happen in any games including q 4, doom 3, bf games, jusr epsx, doesnt even happen in the other psx emulator that uses the plugins..come to think of it!
jonc2006
June 8th, 2008, 04:30

is there a button on your keyboard that can disable/enable the mouse? i dont know but maybe if you disable the mouse it will stop since the cursor would be completely inactive.
puppetj
