View Full Version : How do you get ePSXe to NOT save in the registry?

The reason I'm asking this is because I usually take my emulators with me on the go via a flash drive (i.e. to the library, to a friend's house, my dad's, etc.), and I don't want to have to reset the settings for ePSXe every time I want to play it on a new computer. This is because the emulator saves its settings in the registry. How do I tell it not to do that? How can I get it to save within its own directory so that it becomes completely portable?

A portable reigstry hive would be best. HOWEVER, settings that work on one computer might not owrk on another, and could lead to significant failure.
With the internal GPU renderer integrated, this portability concern does no longer matter this much (you could just use the internal plugins for all aspects, and use the portable reg hive just to store settings such as pad and stuff)

You can extract the settings as reg file, and whenever about reconfiguring it again, just double click the reg file and there you go (use ePSXeCutor to get it).
