My emulator doesn't seem to use any sound whatsoever. I have tried the Internal and Pete's. Neither seem to work. The only game I've tried to play is Front Mission 3, so I don't know if there is an issue with that game in particular. I have gotten the game to work before though, can't seem to tell the difference between now and then. I'm pretty basic in this area so any tips could be the answer, thanks ^_^.

the game plays fine, but there's no sound! (or, there's sound, but no music)

make sure your speakers are on and that your computer's sound works in the first place. you'd be surprised at how many times people have their volume muted or something.
in ePSXe, make sure the top 3 boxes are checked under Config-->Sound
some games have CDDA audio. if you're playing off the CD, you need to have the analog audio cable attached from CD drive to sound card.
if you're playing off an ISO, you can't use ePSXe's built in "run ISO" command; it doesn't support CDDA audio. you'll have to load the image using Mooby's CDR plugin OR mount the image to a virtual drive (in both these cases, you need to use File-->Run CD). furthermore, if it's a bin/cue image, you cant simply run it with the bin. you'll need the cue file as well to tell the emulator where the audio tracks are.

Well, I've checked around a lot and nothing has helped me. One difference is that I use Delta to set everything up for me, so I don't know if that could be an issue?

Ah, thank you so much. I had to go into actual psx and check the sound boxes. Thanks a lot ^_^

if you say you are saving it the normal way then you should already know how to save to the memory card. do you mean you are using save states to save your game? save states are unstable and if you are loading one and not getting any sound its likely because of this very reason. does your sound work before you attempt to load your save? to save to a memory card, you need to have the memory card files, which should come with the epsxe download, stored in your epsxe\memcard directory. the memory card files should have a .mcr file extension so look for that. once everything is in their correct locations, you would save to the memory card the same way you would on a real psx.

and btw, next time you should make your own thread because other people reading this one are going to most likely have intentions of addressing the threadstarters issue, so if you want to have better chances of getting your issue addressed, you should create your own thread for it.

in MGS you save via codec call, so whatever button you mapped "select" to is what you want to press. so bring up the codec screen, call that chick that saves your data and that should do it. if you dont know where the buttons have been mapped, go to the config>pad menu in the GUI and it should show where everything is.
