I just finished setting up my dual boot win98/XP system and tried ePSXe in XP, I used the same config l had in win98 xcept for w2k CD acces in Pete's cdr. I tried both SCSI and raw commands but cd access is VERY SLOW not like the internal plugin which works as fast as it was in win98. Anyone solved this? i really want to use Pete's plugin coz of it's additional functions. btw my cd-rom drive is an old TEAC IDE

Ah this old one :p
XP + CDDA + External cd plugin = slow access
You have to switch off cdda if you want to use an exernal cd plugin due to a bug in 1.4

or put the ePSXe in compatibility to windows 95, but maybe you canīt configure well your GPU ^^

Just download and install these ASPI drivers, they will fix things right up, then just use the ePSXe CDR ASPI core.
