Kyro cards are known to have problems with epsxe and it's graphics pluggins... I have a voodoo 5 so I can't be of much help, but I do remember people with Kyro cards havings a bunch of problems with the gpu pluggins..

If I am correct, the problem you are having is with the FMV in the D3D plugin. I wouldn't bother trying to get that to work. The D3D plugin is hopeless with a Kyro. However, a fix for that problem is to enable (or disable) the MDEC filtering. However, I'm sure that the game will freeze immediately after that.

My advice is to use the soft plugin.

I was just saying what appeared to be the general consensus
