Im new to emulating things, cant figure out what to do.

I have the video plugin, sound plugin and the bios file. I downloaded star ocean the second story part 1 of disc 1. How do I actualy start the game up. I have a snes emulator and I got that working and all I do is drag the game rom into the emulator file and it starts up, I do that for this and nothing happens. I know its probably a stupid question to most on this board but please help.

your reading and logic skills are what is useless since you cant seem to understand the concept that emulation is intended for playing legal backups.
