I reserved all 3 Midway Arcade Treasures and enjoyed all of the games. The first one was my favorite, but I was pissed at having to wait 2 months for the Gamecube version. In fact, when I reserved the 3rd one, I reserved it for the Playstation 2 as I didn't want to deal with that mess again.
I prepurchased King of Fighters XI and it was "ok" but it isn't my favorite King of Fighters, I prefer King of Fighters 2003, which I own for the Playstation 2 and XBOX.
I have the Williams Pinball Collection, which was disappointing, I prefer Visual Pinball. I can't even get WPC to run in Win XP.
I reserved Taito Legends for the PC and PS2 and love both versions, I have the Taito Legends 2 for both systems as well...
So I pre order a lot of retro titles.

Only game I ever reserved was FFX. And I'm glad I did, it's still one of best games I've ever played.

I reserved new super mario bros. on lik-sang... well, that wasn't really worth it, and it came later anyway, because too many people reserved it.. ;p
..I think that was the only one. I usually don't pre-order/reserve

Stores around here don't reserve anymore, consoles they do, but not games, they don't have the right to. But I do think that reserving my Wii was great (even if I still had to wait MONTHSbecause they had freakin pages of reservations).
But I had something even better than a reservation happen today :
The worst frikin tempest of the year.
Because of this, the nearest Walmart still has a lots of SSBB left in store. Yeehaa for me (even tho driving in snow is dangerous).
(God reserved the game for me)

I've only ever reserved one game: Guild Wars... and probably just to be able to play in the beta.
I didn't even end up buying from the place I reserved it in since I got it cheaper elsewhere.
And the game itself? Good for a while, mucho boring after.

Never reserved a game in my life. No need, all the good ones are in ample supply.

Yeah, I've never had a problem getting a game day-1. I think if it comes with some bonus it could be worth it.

KOF XI. Only because I knew a shop in 100km radius away from me won't stock it. It ok, i enjoyed it more than KoF 2k3.

Never done it. Because I'm the most of the time a PC player, there are always the risk of having too low specs for enjoyable gaming performance on the newest games.
Most of the games which I buy are old and I have played them on my friends' machines and liked them, for example FFVII, Quake II (for PSX), MGS, Ridge Racer Type IV, etc.
