First of all
My System (a modified Dell Inspiron XPS Notebook - upgraded RAM, downgraded CPU for heat reasons)
Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.00 GHz
1256 MB DDR2-RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 (on Omega 3.8.442 Drivers)
Windows XP Pro SP2
I have a somewhat odd problem. I just installed PCSX2 v. 0.9.4 and tried to run Nobunaga's Ambition: Rise to Power. To my surprise, it worked very well (running at a consistent 30 fps). At that time, I had Opera (browser) running in the background.
Now for the strange part: I closed Opera, and suddenly the framerate dropped to a sluggish 9 fps with severe stuttering. Now, Opera is known for leaving behind a large trace in one's RAM, but even rebooting did not fix the problem - the game now runs on 9 to 11 fps. Since it worked before, I find this somewhat strange. Does anyone have an idea on what could be the cause? Any help would be appreciated!
Edit: Oh, one thing worth mentioning: having Opera running in the background of course does not solve the problem.
