So i am halfway through the ePSXe install in linux sticky and everything is going perfect (THANK YOU WHOEVER PUT THAT UP !!!)
I am at the part where you have to click config and then video audio and so on to configure the files. Well every time i click one of those under config the ePSXe program immediately closes. all other menu items work and I have gone through the sticky again and again to make sure i am not missing anything but I am still stuck. Can anyone suggest anything or has anyone else had this problem that can help me?
I am running ubuntu 7.10

What plugins are you using and what are your PC specs?
February 20th, 2008, 19:36
I put all the plugins in their directories (downloaded all that the sticky told me to) then moved the cfg files to their coresponding directory. So i guess i have all the plugins?
my specs are as fallows:
amd athlon 64 x2 processor
nvidia geforce 7300 LE
1.5 gb ram
what else you need to know?THANKS

That might be the problem. You are supposed to download one plugin from each category and not all of them.
Delete all the unnecessary plugins you have and use the following ones:
Video: Pete's MesaGL Plugin
Sound: Eternal SPU plugin 1.41.
External pad plugin is not necessary as you can use internal one.
Make sure that you also install all depencies.

Ok thank you so much that solved that problem. I gues I read it wrong I thought it wanted all the plugins in there then to select which one you wanted through config. So that works expcept it doesnt let me config video it just doesnt bring up the menu after clicking config. Also I ranthrough the rest of the guide (without config video) and when I tested the bios it crashed... what do i do? And do you know why it wont let me config video? ( kept the other plugins just in case ...)
thanks for your help so far.. :eyemove:

I'm assuming that you put cfgPeteMesaGL and gpuPeteMesaGL.cfg in the cfg dir and libgpuPeteMesaGL.so.1.0.76 in the plugins dir, right?
Do you have a 64 bit version of the Ubuntu?
