  Recruitment of new developers

I'm not sure where we're currently standing, so I'm asking:

IMO it would be great to get even more developers on board, so the development process goes a little faster, even if mudlord has much to do and I'm a little lazy.

In order for new potential developers to come to VBA-M, they have to know we are always recruiting instead of going to other projects. We should create a sticky in the forums with informations for potential developers, whom they can contact and so on.

I will happily help everyone interested in realizing his own ideas in VBA-M and tell them where to start and where to find what in the code, since I have quite a good idea about all the files and builds now.

  Qt4 port update

Hi folks.

I spent some time working more on the Qt4 GUI.

Too many updates were made for them to be noted down, so you folks should look at this:
http://vba-m.ngemu.com/vbam/vbaotherbuil...svn465.rar

Feel free to post any suggestions in the suggestions forum.

Enjoy!

Note: this is a demonstration build of our work on the Qt4 GUI system. It does not utilize any emulation code yet. So don't complain if your ROMS don't work with this.

  Super Moderators

Ok, since us 4 kings.. err admins (unless theres more) can't be available 24/7 we will be assigning super moderators, since this board isn't even nearly finished being put together (yes, i am looking to maybe shuffle boards, assign subboards, make more boards etc,) a crack team of staff will need to be put together,

i have already assigned Bigirb2002 as a super mod as i have had him as a admin of one of my boards before, and i trust him with my next system upgrade (and thats saying alot about the guy).

Now, I'm not entirely sure on who else is suitable, i downright know Clements is trustable with such a task, but I don't know if you'd want it, seeing as you moderate so many boards already.

then theres Chrono, if it is indeed the Chrono i think it is, theres a definite Super mod place there if you want it.

Of course, i don't like to take away from the jobs of my fellow admins Tongue, but MyBB is my thing, while programming and hacking away at the bugs is theres, so to speak.

Of Course, if you think your up to the task, moderator positions (board specific mods) are available as well, so just post a reply here if you feel you are up to it. (And please, TCOS, just because you did our mums doesn't mean you will be made a moderator Tongue)

  Tasks to complete

1. Build a Theme (i'll start by importing one of my old RC4 themes and building upon it.)
- Create custom buttons
- Source or create images
- Implement Custom CSS
- ....find my Hex color selector O.o

2. Update top links
- Add Home, forum and links to the svn compile dir's.
- Add Link to SourceForge project page.

3. Upload a heck load of smileys.
- Add shortcuts for each smiley (argh, over 180)

4 - Further Simplify the board
- Create a site feedback board.

We now have a new bugtracker & SVN server, due to BountySource closing shop.

The new link is:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/vbam/

Look on there for details on SVN code access.

For those interested, here's the old forum for archival purposes.

Please note that support will not be offered there, due to it being obsolete.

Thankyou.
