A "yes" or "no" would be much appreciated. I'm not asking "why doesn't it run?", "how do I make it run?" or any other "annoying questions", just "does it work?" I don't have the game and AdriPSX seems to be the most friendly toward my controller, and I'd like to know if the game works on AdriPSX before I spend money on the game. Thanks!

First off let me say I've only tried Gran Turismo 2 and it doesn't work with AdriPSX, which is why I am asking about GT1. GT2 has an "Analog Settings" page in it's options menu, but you cannot set analog options for a Dual Shock controller, only joysticks and steering wheels. Bleem and ePSXe use my steering wheel as if it was a dual shock controller, so the game thinks it is a Dual Shock instead of a steering wheel, therefore blocking access to the Analog Settings. AdriPSX accepts a contoller plugin (I can't remember which one offhand) that emulates a joystick which would give me access to the Analog Settings. The game has a default deadzone in the steering that is irritating and just ruins the game for me. I could eliminate this deadzone on the Analog Settings page. ePSXe doesn't use other controller plugins, so AdriPSX was my last hope. |

McTurtle, you're half correct:
ePSXe does not support steering wheel (as of 1.2.0). bleem! DOES support steering wheel. The steering wheel format is called NegCon. You can read more at http://www.joy-stick.net/ps/articles/psxmodes.htm I had a tiny problem but fixed it myself: http://boards.psxemu.com/showthread....&threadid=1021 To be honest with you, it's still not quite as good as a PC game, in terms of steering accuracy, but it's tolerable. Only one problem remains: bleem! does work for GT2 But hopefully ePSXe will support the controller plugin, now with all the fuss about Cyberpad. BTW I'd really like to get one of those plugins you talked about. So far the ONLY such plugin I know is the Segu DirectPad Pro plugin, which only works for the DirectPad Pro. Hope this clears up some confusion. |

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure what plugin it was... when I downloaded the latest version of AdriPSX, it just came with a bunch of plugins. I don't have it installed right now and my download is tucked away on another drive somewhere. Try downloading AdriPSX with all the goodies then check the controller plugins. I'll check out that bleem info. Thanks!
