Question Iori's SPU plugin

Greetings all. When I try to run a game using Iori's spu plugin I get an Illegal Operation. This only happens with AdriPSX. Also I am using only the latest version of all plugin's. Thank You.

Hi!

Same thing happens on PSinex. I really think its the fault of the authors for the SPU. That is because our emulators use the new interface for sound plugins, while still Iori & Andy SPU dont have a handler for it. This is only my opinion, but i'm quite sure.

Hi, PsYcHoJaK.
I'm Iori, SPU plugin's developer.

> while still Iori & Andy SPU dont have a handler for it.
This is NOT SPU plugin's issue.
Please look this files.
http://web11.freecom.ne.jp/~shougo17...bugLog0615.zip

This is my plugin debug version.
http://web11.freecom.ne.jp/~shougo17...ri133debug.zip

This debug plugin output log file in emulator .exe folder.(XA parameters are
shutdown emulator at XA playing.)
SPUDebugDump.log ..... sound buffer dump at shutdown emulator.(1.5MB...too
large!)
SPUDebugMain.log ..... SPU init and shutdown function log, SPU register dump
and XA parameters at shutdown emulator.
SPUDebugSub.log ..... empty(^v^

Main of PSXEmulator must observe this call order, because this is "PSEmu Pro's order".

1. SPUinit()
2. SPUopen()
3. SPUclose()
4. SPUshutdown()

Sincerely,

Aaah, another plugin author visits emuforums - and this time its the famous IORI !!! - Welcome to the boards Iori ...I really like your SPU plugin, it steadily progresses to perfection !!

...maybe you should contact a moderator to change your status to "plugin author" or something similar...

Eternal Runs just as fast on my computer and sounds even better than the last release of Iori's. I found that turning on High Resolution really slows things down. What exactly does high resolution do?

Thanks everyone.

> that means that you are not going to update your spu?
Yes, I will not update "Iori's".
From now on, keep on repairing "Eternal SPU"...
I hope keep on this work "eternity".;

> What exactly does high resolution do?
Don't turn off if you can help it.
This option represent "thread switching" resolution inner of SPU plugin.
Main of PSXemu and SPU plugin are running asynchronous.
If this option turn off, break out some of problem...

Hi Iori,

Your last release works on PSinex with no problems now. I didn't make any changes btw.

Nice reverb effect, i like it very much.

As some other user said, its a bit slow. Uses a lot of resources, and slows down emulation a bit.

With some speed optimization it will be the No1 choice.

Keep up the good work.

I was greatly relieved! (^^)

I already understand... My PC(Pentium3-500MHz) too... (T_T)
But, now project's milestone is "more compatibility".
"better performance" is next object.
sorry...
