adripsx and microsoft sidewinder plug n play

How do I get my sidewinder gamepad to play a game with adripsx? I've gone to advanced mode, and configured it, the application sees my pad and sets buttons accordingly, but when it comes time to play the game during emulation, I get an error that there is no game pad in port 1? No effect what so ever by pressing any of the buttons....Help!

is your control congifed in windows? that could be your problem. and you caould try a different controller plugin.
