AdriPSX CD Audio problems
Hey.
I was trying to play Wild 9 on AdriPSX ILE 1.0.0, and I've had some problems with the background music, which is put on the disc as CD Audio tracks. On the title screen, which is supposed to play the music on Track 3, Track 13 starts halfway through. Similarly, during the first level (when Track 2 should be playing), it plays Track 13 (but at least starts at the beginning of it!) Also, it does not "loop" the music once it reaches the end of the track, but simply continues to play the next tracks. I've tried this game in both my Toshiba DVD-ROM drive and my Sony 24x10x40 CD-R drive. Both give the same results. I know it is not the fault of the game disc, as it works perfectly in an actual Playstation. I have no other games that use CD Audio tracks, so I am unable to test if it is just a compatibility problem with Wild 9 or a problem with CD Audio in general. As I said, I'm using AdriPSX ILE 1.0.0 on Windows 98 Second Edition. Help? |

Hmm
We know that Roor and Juan are correcting some CD audio issues..particularly in games with voice...but in the meantime try this..
experiment with Interpretor Mode "F12"..see if the sound is the same...it will be slower...but the knowledge may help the authors fix the problem..... Another thing to try...in "Advanced Mode" there is a checkbox that says "CD Patch" of something like that (memory bad today)...this enables the Extra Decoder which is used to play some CDXA sound effects....It may break compatibility....but it may also fix some sound errors....like Voiceovers in Castlevania Symphony of the Night for example.... If this also fails...make a savestate and email it to the authors...it will help them fix the problem... |
