Final Fantasy VII

Hi, this is my first time using emulators and I've been having some trouble lately with FFVII. The first problem is that everytime I go into a battle, it doesn't do that swirly thing. Instead it just does the swirly thing 1/4 of the way and then stops at that frame. The music also begins to stutter around this time.

Here are my video settings.

(In special game fixes, "Adjust framebuffer access" and "Odd/even bit hack" have been enabled).
Here are my audio settings.

(Enable Sound, Enable CDDA, Enable XA Audio have been checked.)

The GPU plugin im using is Pete's OpenGL Driver Version 1.76 and The Sound plugin is Eternal SPU Plugin Version 1.41. The CD/Iso plugin I am using is Mooby2 v2.8 and this game is being read from an image file. I am also using DELTA2 v2.01.

My System specs:
AMD Athlon XP 3200+ (32 bit)
Nvidia 6600 GT (128 MB)
1 GB (2x 512 PC3200)

Nothing was overclocked and nothing is overheating. Can anyone help?
