psicomaniaco: it seems like you don't, but i have standards. I DONT LIKE WHEN PEOPLE TYPE IN ALL CAPS. or when they use a lot of exclamation points!!!!! because it seems like you're being yelled at!!!!! i also really dont like when people ramble on and on and on about a lot of random crap and actually make an entire post without using any punctuation or any marker that lets you see when a sentence thought or question ends which makes it really hard to help people out i am trying to help people you understand right? it alz0 k1nd@ sUx wen p33pz b3 lyk tokkin wike diz cuz i dunn0 wot dey be seyinz. i also dont read posts that are just giant, unorganized blocks of text.

in other words (and in proper english), i think that if people expect to get help, they should make their posts readable. in OT or general pictures or something where it's looser, sure, go ahead, post however you want. but when you want someone to give you help, is it wise to be rude? if you need to email a teacher or professor for help with something, would you talk to him the same way you talk to your friends? notice how i dont really use perfect typing (i just skipped the capitalization on the I and i didnt use a apostrophe on "don't" and "didn't"). but when i email a teacher, professor, or even my mother, i type correctly. it's just a respect thing.

so am i complaining? i suppose so. but is it reasonable? i think so. i honestly do. i'm not gonna tell someone "your avatar is ugly. change it." or something like that. but if people want ME to help them out, i think that as someone helping out (and also as their superior on this forum, as an admin), i have the right to tell them how i want them to talk to me. and hey, im not very strict, am i? normal english is fine. i try to have my posts set a good example. i space out my ideas, i write in proper english, i have reasonably good spelling, etc.

it's true that i dont have sympathy for anyone. it's the internet, why should i? i'm actually a pretty kind hearted guy compared to other people...

anyway, that all brings me around to a main point. i insult a lot of people. i've called a lot of people douchebags. but have i ever done so without reason? without provocation? do i ever flame incessantly? most of the time when i do say something rude, i explain it as best i can. also, one thing that might seem quite unfair....be careful when you're insulting admins it's kind of like giving an obscene gesture to another person when you're driving your car. it's normal to get angry and do something rash to a normal person, and probably nothing will happen. but wait until you flip off that police officer....
