It usually doesn't take much to emulate a playstation now-a-days. A 1.4 Ghz computer + a modern ATi or Nvidia card would be more than enough. If you have a 3.0 Ghz computer and your running into sound issues, then you may want to adjust the sound settings in the emulator. Otherwise it might be just something strange with the game (after all it is a new emulator). You may want to try a different emulator with a more mature sound plugin (such as ePSXe or PSXeven with Eternal SPU).
