PAL runs at 50 Hz, which means the tv screen is 'refreshed' 50 times a second, and running at 25 FPS means that the Playstation puts 25 new images on the 50 Hz tv screen per second. (to put it in a simple way  ) |
It isīnīt tru ! PAL refreshes 25 odd lines and 25 even lines per sec.
also 25 complete pictures (50 halfpictures {interleasing})
The EMU puts 50 Fullpics/sec on the screen by 1024x768 (the PSX PAL have resolutoin of 576x288) now can you calc what more power is needed for the EMU.
