With opengl2, I find the main problem is getting the damn battle transition to look fine. And the only thing that affects that is framebuffer effects. Set to 2, it looks fine, but there's a HUGE slow down, not only going into battles, but also into menus. Set to 0 or 1, no problems concerning speed, but it's not the perfect battle transition. Set to 3, no matter what the other settings are, always a black messed up transition. This ONLY happens in the world map. I tried fiddling around with other settings to remove the slow down, but it ends up looking like a pile of crap. I have a Geforce 6800 GT, and a P4 2.4GHz with 1 gig ram, so if you want to play it perfectly, I think an *amazing* comp is needed. BTW, you can decrease the slowdown time, but it sacrifices a LOT of graphics.

With OpenGL on the other hand, I've found some ok settings, doesn't look amazing, because alpha multipass has to be turned off, and causes some gay black borders, unless you turn off texture filtering, then it's all blocky, not too bad though. No slow-downs, black boxes around ATB bars, but the ATB bars flash a bit. Still NOT perfect though. Actually, pretty similar case to OGL2 then I guess...but looks slightly better+slightly quicker too.

I think we just need a special fix of some sort to be made. I read on Pete's boards that it works ok with the PAL version, but I, like most of you guys I'm guessing, am using the NTSC. I also requested that special fix, as well as addition of 960x720 and 1280x960 full screen resolutions and a drag-down preset menu which you can add to, and export/import.

I haven't read most of the other threads, so sorry if I wrote some useless crap that's already been posted, or something that is wrong.
