I didn't get around to testing the plugins as my PC was out of order for 2 weeks . Anyways, here goes .

Game being tested: Driver 2 (NTSC)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
P.E.Op.S. software plugin

Good: Menus are flawless and look extremely sharp, much sharper than the other plugins (not surprisingly).
Bad: Just as any other 3D game, 3D looks like crap .

Plugin: P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.1.16
Author: Pete Bernert and the P.E.Op.S. team

Resolution/Color:
- 640x480 Window mode
Stretch mode: 0
Dither mode: 2

Framerate:
- FPS limit: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Misc:
- Scanlines: disabled
- Game fixes: off [00000000]

Comments: Just as I expected, flawless compatibility.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pete's D3D plugin

Good: In-game graphics are very sharp and clean, very high framerate with framelimiter off.
Bad: Requires some tweaking to get the menus to be usable. Menu options get fuzzy as you pass over them. Also, menu options smear downwards on lower FA settings.

Plugin: Pete's D3D Driver 1.1.75
Author: Pete Bernert
GFX card: RADEON 9500 PRO / 9700 (Omega 2.5.67)

Resolution/Color:
- 640x480 Window mode

Textures:
- R8G8A8A8
- Filtering: 0
- Hi-Res textures: 0
- Palettized tex windows: off
- VRam size: 128 MBytes - 196 textures usable

Framerate:
- FPS limit: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 3
- Framebuffer texture: 3
- Framebuffer access: 4
- Alpha multipass: on
- Mask bit: off
- Advanced blending: hardware

Misc:
- Scanlines: off [0]
- Unfiltered FB: off
- Dithering: off
- Screen smoothing: off
- Full vram: on
- Game fixes: off [00000001]

Comments: The most important parts are offscreen drawing and framebuffer access. Keep OD above 0. The higher FA is, the better (yes, 0,4 doesn't work right). Framebuffer texture doesn't seem to have an effect. The screen is black when the main menu first appears, just hit a button on the D-pad to make it appear.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pete's DX6 D3D plugin

Same as Pete's D3D plugin.

Comments: I don't know which settings I have set differently than the D3D plugin but my max FPS seems to be lower with this plugin (~200 instead of ~300). The screen is black when the main menu first appears, just hit a button on the D-pad to make it appear.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pete's OpenGL plugin

Good: Once properly configured, menus are flawless (although not as sharp as P.E.Op.S.). In-game graphics same as the D3D plugin.
Bad: Framerate isn't as high as D3D but probably is due to settings (it's hard to keep track of settings for multiple plugins when you're messing with them in-game ).

Plugin: Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.1.75
Author: Pete Bernert
Card vendor: ATI Technologies Inc.
GFX card: RADEON 9500 Pro x86/MMX/3DNow!/SSE

Resolution/Color:
- 640x480 Window mode
[32 Bit]- Keep psx aspect ratio: off

Textures:
- R8G8B8A8
- Filtering: 0 - edge clamping supported
- Hi-Res textures: 0
- Palettized tex windows: off
- VRam size: 128 MBytes - 196 textures usable

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 2
- Framebuffer texture: 0
- Framebuffer access: 4
- Alpha multipass: on
- Mask bit: off
- Advanced blending: on (hardware)
- Subtractive blending: activated

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Line mode: off
- Unfiltered FB: off
- 15 bit FB: off
- Dithering: off
- Screen smoothing: off
- Screen cushion: off
- Game fixes: off [00000000]

Comments: The screen is black when the main menu first appears, just hit a button on the D-pad to make it appear.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pete's OpenGL2 plugin

Good: Possibly very nice graphics with X and Y resolutions at 2, shader filters available (I personally don't use them ).
Bad: Menus don't look as good as Pete's OpenGL plugin (small vertical line appears to the right of the "cursor" as you pass over an option).

Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.6
Author: Pete Bernert
Card vendor: ATI Technologies Inc.
GFX card: RADEON 9500 Pro x86/MMX/3DNow!/SSE

Resolution/Color:
- 640x480 Window mode
- Internal X resolution: 1
- Internal Y resolution: 2
- Keep psx aspect ratio: off
- No render-to-texture: off

- Filtering: 0
- Hi-Res textures: 0
- TexWin pixel shader: on
- VRam size: 128 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 1
- Framebuffer effects: 3
- Framebuffer uploads: 2

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Mdec filter: on
- Screen filtering: off
- Shader effects: 0/1
- Flicker-fix border size: 0
- GF4/XP crash fix: off
- Game fixes: off [00000000]

Comments: Set framebuffer uploads above 0 or else the cursor will be placed on each menu option you pass over (gets confusing with 4+ cursors on the screen). Set framebuffer effects to at least 2 or else each submenu option will be overlaid by the previous menu's options whenever the cursor passes over it. FE=3 is recommended as the game likes to switch between FE being "used" or not (the wavy box on the right side of the FPS display) whenever you look forward and behind, causing a pause whenever it switches the FE emulation. Setting it to 3 will force it on at all times, eliminating the pause when looking behind. The screen is black when the main menu first appears, just hit a button on the D-pad to make it appear.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Conclusion: According to my somewhat brief tests, Pete's OpenGL plugin seems to work the best with this game, with the OpenGL2 plugin in second place.
