"In fact the gameplay is just average."
That's one reason I was really shocked to have seen the game anounced for the Dreamcast way back when. I remember playing this and thinking it was another soon to be "way of the warrior".
In the end the series has truely blossomed into a nice fighting game that goes up agaisnt Virtua Fighter and Tekken in my mind. (Not Soul Calibur, due to the use of weapons.).
