Yep, but I doubt that's the problem. I think it's because there was a strand of exposed live wire coming from the fan's "cord". It touched the side of my case, made a spark, the PC shutdown, that fan died. Everything after that worked fin except sound (I even bought a new sound card), and I can't OC my videocard by even 1mhz or it'll f-up. I think it fried a few things.
Everything is recognized and the PC runs fine, just lack of sound for some reason (see my "Sound Card Problems" thread).
