*a big thanx to nVidia for buying their sorry asses and using OpenGL!*
Proprietary software isn't bad especially when it's done right. Glide was so fast an API that Open GL was in effect emulated through it in the Voodoo 3. (I believe by the Voodoo 5, Open GL support was proper.)

A big thanks to NVIDIA for buying their "sorry asses" and burying their technology. Yeah, a big thanks to NVIDIA for buring their FSAA method, which was superior to both NVIDIAs and ATIs. A big thanks to them for burying every other collective IP that 3dfx owned. Thanks for nothing, more like.
