as suikoden 2 is a 2d game, i would suggest using a soft plugin, as
peops. With your actual plugin, turn off frame skipping, i don't think you need it. Disable 'lazy...' as killjoy said. Try enabling mask bit, or alpha multipass, or both, so you could see what happens.
