I turned on my computer today and to my surprised found that my harddrive has been wiped clean. Specifically, my partition table, boot record, and boot sectors has all been deleted. My suspicion as to the problem is the installation of norton AV which I had install a week earlier. I'm pretty sure norton is the only program on my computer capable of modifying the partition and boot record files.

I'm now in the process of recovering whatever's left of the 20gb drive.

Does anyone know of any good partition/boot program that allows for the creation of a new partition table without destroying existing data?
