Speaking of old action games... there's still some GREAT freeware floating around out there.
I posted about King's Quest remakes a long time. They're really coming along though. Tierra Entertainment -
http://www.tierraentertainment.com/ - has completed remakes of Sierra's King's Quests I and II. Both are redone with beatiful new graphics, and implement Sierra's mouse icon system from the later KQ and QFG to replace the old typing interface. Not only that, they also have additional new remastered sound and even have speech packs for both. The recently released KQ II REALLY is quite impressive... next on the sleight is Quest for Glory II, which is a GREAT game that will likely be phenomenal with the improved graphics and engine.
